I think you're referring to this? This particular method of rendering is called Mode 7 and isn't technically 3D as it creates a 2D polygon that can be stretched and/or rotated to give a faux 3D effect. You can read about it here.

If Twiz really had some info on the release he’d likely have images etc of the game, that leads me to why hasn’t he shown any? I have feelings when graal3d is ready graalworlds will be released and 3d be on it, likely having some servers as subscription based.. but that’s if graal highers are actually doing anything, graal has a tendency to say something is going to happen then you all wait around for centuries and get nothing, to later be told it’s still coming - they keep the community around.

I guess since it's getting close to release it's safe to say that I worked on the team until I posted this, I got pissed at them for several reasons and left the team. I'm not sure what time exactly it will be released, only the date and order of release. However the PC version will be released alongside with the new client. (About damn time)
