Animal Crossing 3DS
I'm considering buying a 3DS or the one after the 3DS, just to play Animal Crossing again. The nostalgia is killing me. Anyone else remember the golden days of Tom Nook?
|
Meh... almost all the Animal Crossing games are exactly the same. It gets boring fast, especially since the nerfed the absolute hell out of fishing.
|
What do you mean nerfed?
|
Animal Crossing 3ds looks pretty neat, tbh.
I love Animal Crossing, but the old ones got boring...in the new one, you basically just have more options for decorating and such... Plus, the city map looked quite interesting. There seems to be multiple sections now. The beach has its own section, theres a city (of course), and some other places. Idk, i'll probably buy it. Play for a while, play with people online, then not touch it for months. :P |

It's all just a way more painful experience to try to push the other forms of money-making on the players even though they still suck. I hardly fished in the Wii version at all, even on rainy days. It's just that bad. |
I feel like there's so many improvements that could be made but Nintendo's just being lazy.
It would be a very cool MMO, btw. |

I mean there's some who will be excited enough about the little things to be content, but... |
Not good for the 'hardcore' gamer? Animal Crossing? Are these two part of the same subject? o_O
You do realize Animal Crossing is about interior decorating, making friends with animals, and leisurely activities... If by 'hardcore' gamers you mean 'people who only like CoD and bash Nintendo games', then...I don't think they would be playing Animal Crossing in the first place. Nintendo knows the audience of Animal Crossing, and they keep the same formula. Which is ok for some people, but I never picked up *City Folk, so...obviously its not ok for me. However, the improvements in the 3DS version (or what I can see) are enough for me to get it...so, Nintendo is doing something right with this franchise. A lot of people seem excited for the game. |
I have the DS and Wii versions. I never play either of them anymore. My towns are probably full of weeds and random other crap.

But since the village will be larger than any of the other games in the series, it seems like it would be silly to have only one house... One of the new features is that you can fully customize the outside of your house. Fence, mailbox, etc. So, it would be weird to have everyone in a single house, then have them fighting over what the outside would look like. :P In this game, you're the mayor of the town...so maybe everyone gets their own town? Or the choice to live in a pre-existing town? Idk. lol http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/29090 Thats pretty much all we know about the game so far. |
Just read the article above... Sounds pretty cool :P
I've been thinking about getting a 3DS for a while... What games would I need? |

OoT is...well, its OoT lol. Its amazing, and the upgraded models and visuals are pretty impressive. But, its just OoT and Masterquest. So if your expecting something more...don't get it. Super Mario 3d Land is really good. Tons of levels to play, gameplay is like mario galaxy. Its super fun. Mario Kart 7 is also really fun. Online play is entertaining. :P And as far as download games, I recommend PushMo. Its from the dev team who made Paper Mario and some other Nintendo Games. Its a very fun game, and addictive. (And its only like 7 bucks) And games coming out soon are looking good too. Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion 2, AC, and some others. :P |
I'm getting tales of abyss.. Already ordered it online from target! ;)
|
yeah I don't know what it is about animal crossing. I've played the gamecube and nintendo ds versions, and both times I just abandoned the game much earlier than the designers planned for.
|
I've only enjoyed a few DS games that I've played. Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Mario Kart, and Scribblenauts.

Ocarina of Time is coming in the mail! I never did play it very much on the N64, and I played a little bit on WiiWare but was actually turned off by the graphics (picky, yeah) so here's a good opportunity to fully appreciate the game. I played Mario Kart 7 at a demo and it's kinda cool. I'll end up buying that sometime :P. I'm going to load up on some points for the download store soon and get some of those. There's no internet application for the 3DS? |
Animal crossingggg ftw i used to love going to my sisters world and digging up all here trees and rare coconuts then run off griefing everything with ******ed pictures XD aahh the good times...
|
The best thing that could come out of this would be an entirely online 10 person maximum town where people could all connect from different locations. Then we could have a little graalians town :D
I doubt it'll happen, but it'd sure be great! |
That's what I suggested on a completely different forum haha. Like a town up to 10-25 players from around the world, where we could chat, fish, and etc... awesome. Haha.
I love the Animal Crossing series. Great content, but after you play for a long time. It does kinda get boring. The chat keeps me coming back :D |
