News update, so as graal can't seem to get good reviews they've hosted a competition for them.

What are your thoughts?

You're still on the game without there being any good reviews.

I'm down, except this doesn't sound so legit. How do we know what the prizes are? How do they know which player made the review?

I got recommended it by a friend.

Just read it and management is desperate.

Unfair.... Only Idev peeps get exclusive stuff....

Edit: I gave the app 1 star and explained why and was as reasonable as I could maybe they will see it and give me the prize for honesty :)

Also I see a lot of people saying they're gonna give negative reviews if they don't win so good luck

I'm pretty sure this is illegal by App Store's terms and conditions? Even if it isn't, kind of a horrible way to go about things - how about just make your game better if you want positive reviews?

My review, I really hope they notice it.

My bet is something stupid, like probably a 60 gralat hat, plus a VIP voucher, plus 500 gralats. I'd consider an exclusive prize to be an old gst hat or towering hat, or maybe an old expensive extinct something. Or maybe 1 million gralats(like someone in this game lol.)

I actually checked the calendar to see if it's April 1st. (just 8 AM here... wasn't sure of date). That's kinda cheesy... and the prize will probably go to some random no-account noob with like 160 hours who will abandon the game after a month or two (like that dinosaur prize back at prehistory revolution).

On the plus side maybe they will release some '200k likes' style hat again.

OH and not everyone plays on iphones, guys.

I actually found something in the Apple Developer's Terms and Conditions (App Store Review Guidelines, Section 3.2.2, Part vi):

"Apps should allow a user to get what they've paid for without performing additional tasks, such as posting on social media, uploading contacts, checking in to the app a certain number of times, etc. Apps should not require users to rate the app, review the app, watch videos, download other apps, tap on advertisements, or take other similar actions in order to access functionality, content, use the app, or receive monetary or other compensation. "

I will only cite this. I won't say whether or not Graal actually broke the rules, because I wouldn't want my interpretation to be taken the wrong way.

About the contest overall... I think it's really dumb, considering the fact that the update was pretty small compared to updating the entire map, for example. It's also insane how the rating on the App Store for GraalOnline Classic+ moved from 3.5 stars to 4.5 stars in a day (I'd show pics if I had any from the time when it was 3.5 stars).

I've downloaded apps that just say possitive review=10000000 gems on a gem or something along those lines and it's not real

What if 2000 people made a review, or 500 which is still a lot. Are they actually going to read through all the reviews? I doubt all the reviews would be read ;(

Usually in games when that happens, it takes you to the store page but I go back on the app and I get my reward.

I heard if you report apps that break rules like this to apple they reward you with a prize better than a hat.

Who gives a **** . If these reviews invite more players on the graal games then why not it's both bad and good, maybe this is the hope of grail

I'm not sure what the fuss is about. Graal already had good reviews so it's not like it is trying to counteract negative reviews. Just when you update an app it starts you with a new slate so the idea is to get people reviewing. Also I'm pretty sure the term "great" refers to the quality of the review, not of the game.

Also anyone using this as a basis for how often graal gets updated is being stupid. The app itself doesn't need to be updated to deliver new content. "lol this just proves how little the game gets updated when is the last update? Years ago!!!" What about castle, house templates, capsule machines, box fort, state contest(and new system)?

I don't get why they do such an event.. don't they pay for their reviews and stuff anyways?

Of all the games I've ever played, this one has kept me playing, 4000 hours? No other game even comes close lol!

Interesting that Graal does all these things and often even fails to provide the promised rewards (trialpay im lookin at you).

From what I've gathered they just changed the way the app was built under the hood with the app now being 64-bit as opposed to 32-bit. I'm not actually sure what effects this has in the world of apple apps but it doesn't really have any effect over the content you see and play.

I also find it funny when people act like the lack of updating the app means that an online server for a game never gets content. Updating apps to add content is for single player games. updating an app for an online game means improving the server itself not the content of the server.

I guess they are incentivizing their users with some in-game rewards, if they leave a "great" review
I've seen a lot of apps offer "gems" and other types of currency if they leave a review, but never seen one hold a contest giving prizes towards "great" reviews.
People will 5 star, because they want to win what the game is offering, thus helping the app climb the ranks with incentivized reviews.
