GST hats
 

GST hats are up and i decided to make a thread discussing about them. Overall i think the hats are better then most other GSTS they were all well made except for the crown. But thats just my opinion. Here are pictures. Good thing you didn´t catch the crown. I highly dislike that one.
iDev Helmet with Sword inside has an awfully similar colour pattern to the Helmet of last GST.
The blue fox mask is cute though.

I agree with the crown, most of these gst hats look way too similar to past ones. Maybe the gfx artists have artist block and cant come up with any other unique ideas.

How do the iDev ones look like?

Only one that caught my interest was the wolf mask, don't necessarily like any other hat. The idevice helment isn't bad looking tho.

They're alright. The mixed hats are nice.

Pretty sure it will be first pick for most mixed teams, at least the ones that will place so I wouldn't that sad

I think the first three are actually really good and suit the GST theme. The next two also look good but don't really seem like something you'd win in GST, they would make amazing hats for halloween. I can't seem to like the last one though, it seems flat and has a weird concept.
They're actually not as bad as most of you guys make them seem lol

best one there is probably the idev purple helmet, such a bland boring design but if I had to choose a favourite it'd be that.

Sir J's wings look like a hybrid of both winning GST hats from last season
The purple helmet is my favorite but it's similar in style to Absence's 1k hat
The bone mask is well-made but I've seen so many GST hats with horns that it's forgettable

Assuming you're talking about the first one, which I agree was one of our better GST hats
After our first 2 GST hats, I thought we were about to go through some dope GST hat renaissance period, but then…

It's just smarter to make better versions or completely original hats, and sell them in some shop where it will be used by many, and not just a select few. No one is paying for these "free" hats, so...

Out of these hats, nicest looking (imo) are 1, 2, 3, 9, 12, 13, 14. Favorite by far is the 3rd one (red helmet). It's simple, no big horns, or any other extra and unnecessary details.
Not discrediting the skill of the people who worked on these hats, maybe the lesser of the quality hats tend to get chosen for the reason stated above.

the sword helmet and the wolf mask are the only two ones i like.

i think it would be cool if graal got all the over-eccentric towering hat designers to make GST hats, because then we'd have a bunch of really cool looking, unique, most likely overly large hats.

i've also never GST'd before, how does the hat system work? is it finalists get hats, or is it in the shop?

1st, 2nd, and 3rd receive hats from Mixed & iDev respectively. All qualified participants can purchase 1 item (2500 gralats I believe). You can only buy 1 per GST.

fav hat is probs the blackish crown head piece thingy. Looks super dope imo

The mask was definitely the best one!

Whoever made the crown for mixed needs to check how it looks on the actual Graal heads for her/his next one; its way too wide, especially when facing north

i didn't notice how horribly made the crown was until i got it so it was a pretty funny surprise lmao looks really really last minute. if there's a prime example for "3rd place hat" i think the crown definitely covers it lool
