Do You Think Graal Would Ever Be on Steam?

I reckon they are missing out on a big opportunity imo. Graal would get a huge player boost and more profit for Unixmad

Sies 01-06-2017 07:52 AM

it would be a pain transferring everything to steam

and imo I think they're fine, about an average of 3000 players a day is pretty good

This is why you aren't in charge of Graal, or any sort of company.

when they could be getting even more, steam has 13 million users online every day. (Not saying all 13 million would play this or even know of its existence)

But do we ever want more than 3000 players on a server?

It's allready laggy enough

It really should be, id love it on there that way I can easily spend my steam cards on it.

Seriously though, Id like it to, but Bram makes a point. The servers would be really laggy, and if it got alot of players, the map would be way to crowded. Id love to but theres lots of things that could go wrong.

Yog 01-06-2017 07:56 PM

If they made development tools integrated and more accessible, I think Playerworlds would do good on Steam. AFAIK Roblox is doing pretty good, and it's similar to Playerworlds from what I've seen.

Probably would get negative ratings up the ass.

exactly my friend

It would never be on steam, Unixmad is making enough cash as it already is.

It being on steam doesn't necessarily mean it will have an increase in players, there are certain games that do poorly even with it being on steam.

Graal isn't one of those games people would want to play when there are far better games with proper customer service.

He doesn't have to risk it, it's a gamble that is honestly not worth the time.

I also believe he doesn't like the idea of Steam taking a minimum of 30% profit.

How much is that, like monthly or yearly? I never found that out

Eugeen 01-07-2017 06:06 AM

I don't think we will ever find out how much unixmad makes

Evidently he's making a lot of cash else he wouldn't be able to support his bread addiction.

2015: income of over a million. No troll.

Crono 01-07-2017 01:15 PM

not in its current form

TWIZ 01-07-2017 01:35 PM

Steam could be Graal 3D's main platform, if they continue to develop it, that is.

"French cash" aka euro's are worth more than USD

Anyways, 1 million USD in a whole year doesn't seem impossible.
Era is a huge cash sink

if this is not a joke

1 euro = 1.06 usd
it takes 1 euro to get 1.06 usd and takes 1.06 usd to get 1 euro therefore euro worth more

if it is a joke

nice.

Bryan* 01-16-2017 04:13 AM

Think you're begging for the server to crash for a month

Wolfie 01-16-2017 04:15 AM

if graal succeeds on steam

just the upgrade server capacity lols
if unix sees the amount of new players causing crashes and lag, he'd be force to upgrade the server

this is implying they got better servers to handle it

Yog 01-16-2017 07:43 PM

Would be very curious to actually know what technology the server is using, but it's been said many times the issue causing lag is how the client handles data. Stefan developed a way to send them via packets but it was flawed.

You are forgetting Unixmad doesn't want his game getting too big.
