Trade system?
 

Subject say it all, I think we should have a trading system capable of trading bombs,arrows, gralats, custom heads, custom bodys, any hats besides default ones, horses, morphs, anything.

We should be able to sell our custom heads and bodies an such but trading wouldn't work mainly because people would sell guild hats for a ton, the stuff in the 40k place, etc. allow them to sell stuff not trade though.

Mr. Simons is right about this idea being mentioned many times before. I like it and really wish they'd put it in the game.

Actually, I was told that Graal is working on something like this for era, Not sure if it's true. Just got told by a few PR buddies.

If someone is willing to do that, then let them do it. There are people who will be smart enough to avoid that and people who will be stupid and do the deal.

i think the reason we dont have a trading system is becuse the bombarddment of ppl spaming staff idevice accounts for one, and second ppl complainging they got riped off but it couuld easly have a pop-up like when customs upload that will say "are you sure you want to trade hat21.png for 1000gralats?''

Yeah it'll turn the game into making profit. Buying a hat for cheap then selling it for more. People will get scammed, people will make noob accounts to trade all their money to their main, etc. there are definitly some positives to it like you can get a hat you wanted a lot, instead of selling furniture for 50% back you can sell it for 75% and people can get cheaper furniture, etc. it wouldnt be bad but I can just see a bunch of people trying to scam people out of their hats an such.

I asked if this was possible a while ago now and I got the feeling that it will definitely not be happening. Take that as you will.

Exactly my point! Also, don't admins ALWAYS receive complaints that they got scammed? Wont this REDUCE the amount of PMs admins get?

But really, all this amounts to is scams, and theres enough scamming already. So what if some dumb kid gets scammed, theres alot of dumb kids playing graal. And what does it look like when you go through app reviews and see every post as "Admins unfair and dont care about players." or "I keep getting scammed out of my money", pretty bad honestly. So that one dumb kid amounts soon to 2 dumb kids then 3 then 4 then 10 then 20 then 50 then 100 etc. So it'd honestly be better to just leave the option out.

Not good. As previously mentioned, you could buy a hat for 8k and trade it with a friend for 1gralat. Or spar hats or 40k Pk room horse and dragon. Guild hats. Old furniture. Bombs. It would basically turn graal into a place where everything is free, and although most people would like to see that, its not very good for eurocenter because no one would buy gralat packs anymore.

Well that person would lose that hat/item they worked really hard for. If they gave it to a friend that's their choice. It costs them. However, there are complications in it such as the person just getting the item back. It still has some kinks.

Oh yeah. I completely forgot that you lose the item... whoops.

i really dont know about trading. there are good things about it and bad things.

Pros:
-possibility for profit
-players can buy furniture for cheaper, and sell furniture for more
-people no longer have to buy the morphs to get into the rooms, as these things can be sold outside for another win win on both sides.
-old hats which are now unavailable will be available again through trade.
-people can sell hats that they bought but don't like instead of just having them and never wearing them
-people who make good customs can sell them for profit
-way to give newer players items

Cons:
-possible scamming of newer players
-guild and spar hats being sold taking away their legitimacy
-wouldnt work well with the current systems of making money.
-when walking around with a cool hat people would constantly ask you to sell it
-tons of people in graal city advertising for trades.

heres what i would do:
replace the archery range in onett with a trade center. players will be encouraged to go there to trade to prevent lag in graal city. when a guild gets a hat, the leader can distribute it to whoever he wishes through trade, however cannot charge gralats for it. this will allow the guild leader to pass out hats to whatever member he thinks deserves it but cannot sell them. people who receive the hat cannot trade it, so hats stay within the group of people who the leader wants to have it. when someone wins a spar hat, they cannot trade it. people with less than 50 hours cannot trade. when you press accept theres an are you sure screen showing you the items to prevent quick swaps, and when someone might be getting scammed, theres a message that pops up in the trade warning them. then a trade request with friends only option as well to prevent request spam.

also there should be a better way to get gralats implemented before this if its ever introduced.

because stefan only adds gfx to this server so noobs keep buying his gralat packs... lol

If this was added id actually expect to see more gralat packs bought assuming that they keep the current system of making gralats (farming). People will be charging tons for those super rare hats that people want for thousands of gralats a piece. The only way to get them is gralat packs.

Let's sum up this thread by saying:
It's not happening, and Stefan will NOT allow it.
