They make me lag when they are jumping like that, lol.
I don't like how they become two when I kill the big one :( |

They are so dam sexy, but insanely hard to kill. I'm glad we're getting new baddies.

This is the firepower they've been given. http://www.imfdb.org/w/images/thumb/...-Minigun_2.JPG However, this is how they use it. http://images.sodahead.com/profiles/...741858888.jpeg |

However, general scripting has next to nothing to do with the discussion. The fact is, these slimes are not copyrighted, because I can find a handful of places similar objects can be found. If you think perhaps you can come up with a more original concept to be used for baddies on the server, feel free to generously suggest your ideas to the crowd instead of boasting about nothing that can be proven. Sharing your thoughts would also have made you someone to look up to in this thread, not vice versa. ;] |
No RPG/Action-adventure game is complete without slimes. It's as simple as that. The fact that Graal has gone as long as it did without them is blasphemy.
In the end though what kind of baddies are you expecting to populate the overworld? Not to mention that I don't think iClassic has the firepower you're implying. I pretty much made the baddies from scratch(and FP4 converted the script to GS2), but had they asked me to make anything more complex than a blob I probably wouldn't have done it. |
i think the slimes should sometimes spawn bigger, and they break into 2 of the regular ones.

Swamptown Pudding Quest
After talking to the man in the bar you find out that a strange organization is hiding the gold slime somewhere. You go and talk to the old man in the society and ask him about it. He tells you hell show you if you kill 100 green puddings for him. After doing so you come back and talk to the man. He lets you into the society which has some books, people, and then sitting at a table is a golden pudding. You talk to him and he tells you that puddings used to be nice creatures, and humans used to keep them as pets. He tells you that they used to live together in a society allied with the humans and he was their king. But then an evil pudding began telling lies and saying that humans were killing them. So he lead a rebellion, took him out of power, and he just barely got away. Now they attack the humans, and they have no choice but to fight back. You have to go defeat the king pudding in the pudding caves. He is a huge black pudding which breaks 5 times before being defeated. Succeed and you get a gralat reward from the gold pudding, access to the society ( maybe put something cool in there like checkers or something), and a pet green pudding for your house which isn't hostile. |

@Shannon: You'd be surprised what I could do. There's a lot of revs that could make a better server. Dusty could probably make a better server in a week. @Zeltino: I hate them, I still see blood on the ground when I walk by. It looks like someone just pasted some default client baddies in. |

I also don't see how slimes aren't very classic-like. Graal was based on Zelda, LttP specifically, and pretty much all of the baddies are just copied from Zelda itself. Zelda has slimes, so why don't they fit? |

Again, you're going back on your own point. If you're so interested in following some alleged storyline(that is not present in iClassic) then why are you also talking about seeing the skimmers revamped? They have nothing to do with baddies attacking Classic. It's like you're not even reading what I said. |
Seeker, and RPG is not an RPG until it has slimes and giant rats. Duh.
|
*facepalm* you think that minecraft was the first game to have slime monsters that become smaller monsters when defeated?

Not to mention splitting slimes were in the first Zelda. I thought the fact that you reference Minecraft had to do with something else, not the fact that the slimes are in Minecraft. Is the concept of slimes being generic RPG monsters from the dawn of dungeon crawling gameplay really that unknown? |
Next they will say bats and skeletons and zombies are "copyright" and such.
|
Higbey had children, hence the birth of slimes. Argument resolved
