Resignation.
 

Well, during recent accusations made against me, I have decided to leave the position of iEra's Guns Admin. I was planning on retiring relatively soon anyway, some of you knew that already.

I must say, it's been fun while it lasted. I've met a lot of great people and I'd like to thank the friends I've had here for it.

Off of the top of my head:
Kane: Man, you're the person that got me to make the jump onto iEra. I remember starting out as a SFX, but then very quickly gaining the title of the servers Guns Admin. You're an awesome guy and it's been a blast. I hope to see you more often in-game after this.

Ozzy, Lux, and the rest of Magus: Fun times we've shared together. I remember the first day I introduced Magus onto iEra. I gathered some of the best people on the server. Each one of you has a quality that makes you simply awesome. Even though I gave the family to Ozzy awhile ago, it's been a pleasure to be a part of it with all of you. Magus will always be my iEra family.

KeN: Funny guy. Always had fun with all the gang spars, sparring, and pking. You're a great person to talk to and just chill out with. You've got some experience with levels and I hope you can make the team. I'd vote for ya. Cya around, bud.

Duke: I had to include you here because out of everyone on the server, you were the only one I had run-in's with. It was all in good competition though. Enjoyed the spars.

snk: I'd just like to thank you for the opportunity and all the help you gave me. I've known you for years from PC Era and you were always a cool dude. No matter what, you're still a very good friend of mine and I hope that we remain in contact with each other. Later, pal.

The iEra Staff Team: You all are great. Since the day I got my RC, I've never had any problems or arguments with any of you. Keep making the server better.

I'll keep the list limited to that. Don't be insulted if I didn't include you. If I included everyone that I can, this list would go on for days.

I believe there will be many things to look forward for in the future of iEra. As for who will be replacing me, I can't answer that because I don't know. Hopefully, the next Guns Admin will be a good one. I have no doubts in my mind.

This is only my resignation, I am not quitting the server. I will be playing on my iPod account from now on. No longer on a PC. I may not be as active as I was, but I will still be on.

Well, that's about it. It's been a fun ride guys. Cheers.

Wow it goes so quick. Cloyd I have known you since you joined the server especially when you were sparring and made magus a huge sparring family on era. Some great matches with many good sparrers and me. You were a great role model for alot of the sparrers including me. Even though I didn't see you that much I would say thanks for what you have done. I would see ya in the near future.

Hey it is Duke, it was fun sparring with you Cloyd. You gave me competition and Excitement to sparring, not to mention the guns you made and edited to keep the players happy. Glad to see that you will still be on the server though.

The right thing to do isn't always popular. You shouldn't resign. I don't know who was accusing you or why, but I think you're being too rash. Anyway, if what's done is permanent, good luck on the server.

:/ damn Cloyd. don't quit over some accusations and rumors, you were a great Gun Admin and I don't think anyone will be able to replace you. Alas, it is your choice, but this is a major blow to iEra productivity, you will be missed.

Cloyd may be too lte but remember you can't please everybody,so please the the underpriveleged(noobs.) Its your choice though. I would like id you would come back again.

I appreciate everyone's comments in this thread, but even if I wanted to come back, I wouldn't be allowed to.

The whole thing is someone pulled up the logs and seen that I dropped multiple items over time. Now, I take responsibility for things like food, gas, wooden crates, etc.. because what I used to do was go basing and basically help people out. Or, find a large group of people and give them some goodies. Y'know, just trying to be cool guy. In one case, one guy got pretty much everything I dropped. Which doesn't help me at all, it looks bad.

The big thing is dropping guns. A few months ago I used to always do events, like every time I had a new gun lined up to be released, we'd event it off. Sort of like how we do auctions now and about a week or so later the gun is released. Another event if anybody remember was I'd set my HP to something like 20,000 and do an event where the first person who killed me wins a prize. Some of them were BAR's, Shipka's, and Katana's. I already explained my case that the items shown in the logs were from events, but since I technically have no way to prove that's why I dropped the guns, it basically causes doubt. The logs don't support me. My word alone can't change the decisions, even if it is the truth.

So, in a sense, I was also fired.

I wouldn't be able to come back as Guns Admin, at least not now. Probably not at all, but I'm fine with that. I was only planning on staying another month or two and then leaving. I had a big plan to make a lot of guns and I wanted to "go out with a bang" when I left. And what I mean by that was I was planning on making the Mp5 as my final gun before I left which would have been the strongest and rarest gun in the game. After doing a huge event for several of them, I was going to resign.

That's pretty much the whole story behind everything. I'm still going to play, just not as actively as I was playing.

I just wanted to say that the job you did as Gun Admin was incredible' the guns are great and you will alway be in iEra history. I think your events where we needed to kill you were fun and it was very enjoyable speaking to you at spar. You helped me a lot for sparring as i watched you or when you were telling me some advices. Great job anyway for being a good guns admin. You did make guns that appealed to me very well.

Lol... It was a bunch of noobs who payed $40+ for a shipka who were mad(No offense but they were too overpowering)... Thanks for all the guns Cloyd :)

Yeah i remember clearly those events, you turn yourself into a giant cloyd and the whole server was chasing you to kill you,i participate in 3 events of those one katana u had ur hp set to 5000, then shipka and i remember the bar you set your hp to 20 000 and a freaking noob won the bar lol .
All this happened late october past 1:00 a.m. in my timezone.

I was there when the "giant" events were going on. Very fun, however I was on era way too late at night. Yeah, a noob received whatever weapon was being given as a prize. I remember specifically. He didn't even know what he won. Anyway, I think these type of events are great, as long as you don't have like 3 in one night.

Yeah, I did it 3 times every now and then. At this point, I don't think I'd want to go back to being Guns Admin. The only thing that makes me want to come back is so I can release everything that I had planned for you guys and then immediately leave. If I was given the opportunity to just do that.. then yes, I would do it. Plus, players have told me what some of the other admins are saying about me which I don't like. If you've got something to say about me, confront me. Don't go talking about it behind my back.

Our staff does tend to do that, all nice to your face and backstabbers when you turn. Like everyone is saying and I have said, this will be a major set back in Era, no one will compare, but I hope we get someone with at least half your skills.

How could you prove that the guns dropped were given via events anyway?

But yeah, this whole mess is just me dropping items that were shown in the logs. Like I said, the only responsibility I take is the dropping of gas, food, crates, bombs, y'know, stuff like that. But, in a sense, it's also like if I were doing freebies. Just felt like helping a few players out. The whole thing with guns is the fact that I have no way to prove that the guns I dropped were event prizes, not just me giving them to people. Snk doesn't believe me or else I'd still be an admin, but can't be mad. He was just doing his job as Manager. If anything, this is a learning experience. Maybe if I recorded my events in a set of comments, then the logs WOULD support me and I'd still be the Guns Admin. Oh well.

Well unless you were told to keep a set of comments BEFORE the events about what you were eventing off I don't really think its right.

Nope. The funny thing is, I used to ask snk if I could host events for some weapons and he'd give me permission to. *faceplam* Other events, I just did it myself. But, it's cool. I was a little pissed off in the beginning, but this is just ridiculous now. I really wish I could have just released all the guns I had planned out before they fired me. That's all.
