new trees tops!?
 

the graphics in classic has improved greatly yet the trees look god awful, i actually expected the trees to be remade ages ago but it never happened..

the old maloria trees are also pretty old but it looks alot more realistic.

the trees on classic bugs me alot, i don't mind the tree trunks but the tree tops really needs to go :'(

just imagine how nicely shaded the new trees would be, Please save the Trees!

If you haven't noticed , graal classic has been aiming is self at a more cartoony look for a while now and the trees kinda play the role , although I do agree that they aren't the best looking and someone in the community could probably make a much better attempt at them in a cartoon theme. However I don't think any of the ones you have posted play the role

What mountains?

The round things. Hills, mountains, I dunno. But they're also in the distance so it's one or the other I think. Either way not everything needs to be a literal and/or realistic interpretation. After all, Graal is styled after Zelda which has trees similar to Graal.

Also, doing nice-looking trees that look cartoony and "realistic" at the same time in Graal's format is difficult.

I always though those where mean to be trees for some reason ...

My idea of classic trees would be wide leaves that only use 4-8 colours to keep the simple cartoony look , but of course that just purely my opinion and as I'm not really the best at art my opinion isn't very significant.

The thing is if I never played classic before , and I came across a picture of the tree picture that cecily posted I'd never guess those are tree tops. They kinda look like those weird ballon shaped animals clowns make

I've always enjoyed the trees, as it embodies the "classic" theme. It's supposed to look retro, is it not?

I would like these kind of trees in classic. I'm just not a big fan of the roundness and colors of the ones we have right now.

The one on the right is my style, it definitely rocks both pretty and cartoony and the color palette for it is a more fresh direction from the very straight foward green and bland white green we have right now?

And with actual leaves there could be trees swooshing around

It's a pretty moot point, the entire point behind the name is to keep the originality in tact.
