Someone, tell me why this server is severally going through a depressing breakup with some girl. This server is laggier then the word lag itself. My ms been over 500 today the whole day when I've been at 80 for the past 2 weeks.

Naw I'm getting the same issue... suddenly in the last few days it has been notably worse than before. It's pretty difficult to catch bugs right now (maybe we're due for an update soon :) )

I can choose where I want to spawn in guild spar. In the 5 minutes it takes to load in I have plenty of time to choose too!

Wow. Just logged in. I can't even go from one screen to another on the railroad without having to unstick (appearing in a blank black screen).

The higher the ping faster the internet, your internet must be too fast and graal couldn't catch up.

I rather have a robotic artificial intelligence monitor the server than these inactive so called supportive staff. Seriously. Why do you apply to become a GP if you can't even ****ing do your job by being active? It's either you kissed the right butt cheek or you're there for popularity. Too many players evading bans, too many players cheating/hacking, too many players harassing each other or being vulgar because majority of the (x number of GP's) can't even be online to prevent it. Siri provides more help than majority on the team. Step down if you can't be active.

What do you expect from a staff team that isn't even officially hired into a company.

Don't know if you noticed but the server always goes through some weird laggy aftermath once the gst is over , nothing new just wait it out and it will stop 1-3 weeks in

Well it's a commitment things, if you apply to do something then do it. If not you should get fired and replaced tbh, most members of staff just afk on their accounts half the time ( not all but most ). Staff used to be a lot more active and responsive before. Graal has gone into a weird stage rn where they have removed admin name list so you can't really know / find them unless they host , admins do not actually seem to care about reports and just skip them , boosting speed hacking and vpn seem to be perfectly acceptable now too.

The only thing Graal has really advanced in in the last couple of years has been the graphics quality apart from that the games seems to be lowering in quality.
But then again what should we expect from a game in which the owner doesent actually seem to care for ?

Every other time you post on the server it's about lag, Marc deal with it.
Everyone else does and none of the staff let alone the players can do anything to prevent the state of the server. Only Unixmad when he spends some bread in order to upgrade server capacity to make more bread

I'd love to be an admin just to get more involved in the game and to do my bit to help out. I'm sure many staff members feel the same way.

I believe the problem lies whitin the recruiting system it self , currently if you banned once , even if it was 5 years ago for a stupid reason and got it revoked you can never be an admin, I think even if you got a warning you can't be an admin.
This leaves us with noobs that afk for 1000-2000 hours asking people to like their house in Graal City becoming admins, these players know little about the game despite their house , they are mostly young people that don't really understand what makes a good and monitored community and how important that is. The only reason they apply is to day I was an admin once to their Gold Modeling high guild friends...
I think if the recruitment process it self was improved we could possibly get better staff. For an example someone who I think would make a good members of staff today would be thallen , he's knoladged in every aspect of the game and is quite a responsible mature person from what I've seen since I've known him , however he can not become an admin due to being banned /warned in the past( just an example there's plenty more people , just using thallen because he's well known hope you don't mind ) .

In other news, need to enforce productivity and punctuality. I have about 15+ GP's added and regardless of where their lazy ass is residing (time zones/etc) some aren't online or are OFFLINE for numerous days. Tf is 10 hours a week of monitoring a server going to help or assist players? Increase it to 25-30 hours.

Considering they don't get any real pay, 10/week is fine. But that being said, they should hire more to make up for the short hours.

But then again, most of the ones we have suck so they'd probably just hire more that suck.

It's a voluntarily job, you don't get paid besides gralats really so there isn't much incentive unless you really want to contribute to the game.

We still need more servers.

Being a GP is far from glamorous. It reminds me of customer service. Instead of answering phone calls, you answer pms, investigate reports, etc. If you want a free weekend, be ready to commit longer hours during the week. To be frank, the job is a bore.

That being said, I find value in doing it. I can safely say on a weekly basis that I've prevented cyberbullying and sexual harassment on a game I enjoy. Would I have applied if the job description was solely to approve uploads, host events and monitor hackers? Most likely not. These all go on the back-burner when the more serious reports come up.

As to the manning issue. If a grade school didn't have the personnel to monitor recess several days a month, you wouldn't go yelling at the parent volunteers ;you would contact the school administration. Whether a GP does the minimum amount of hours or 25-30, I respect the work they put in the server equally. They may be easy to blame yet they are not the ones at fault if the server is not monitored 24/7. It isn't rare for a member to put 30 hours a week. Heck, I've even seen someone do 80. They have no obligations to be policing and by doing it, I find it makes them far from lazy asses.

A volunteer finds value and time to do a task. Increasing the minimum requirements would dissuade the people who join for the right reasons. Hiring more people would be a better solution.
