Instead of hidden, stat should just be removed altogether. The new leaderboard make stats pointless. More pointless than before. Not saying it's a negative side to the new system but thats just how it is.

As for the mob pk, players really need a major diversion. One that will weaken the importance of stats. I know, not the thread for this dicussion.

Provide a good reasoning as towards why it should be kept private. If you're thinking about insecurity or personal reasons such as being called a noob or a no life then you take the game way too serious.

Completely agree, always give a reason for your idea. There is no reason that it should be hidden, otherwise it really is just a role play game, and trust me we do not want to encourage that with the current state of the server

Rather have a roleplaying game than a game where players just show off their stats to make themselves feel good.

Stats shouldnt have been placed in the first place. Sadly, it may be too late to remove stats now. Too many spoiled players.

I just don't want people to know my stats.
If we have the freedom to hide our hours, we should also have the freedom to hide our stats.
It's an optional thing; not everyone have to do it.
If you have good stats and want to show off your stats? Sure, you can do that. Why not?

Go play DarkRp or LARP then.
If stats offend you that much then graal isnt the game for you.

Because hours are the most pointless thing in graal.
Thats why you can hide them.
Idk why so many of you kids want to hide your pks, bks and spar.
If youre bad at spar (like me) then practice some more and get your score better over time.
If you don't pk often ( I haven't PK'd for more than 5 minutes unless taking or defending a tower) thats on you .


Not to mention the ammount of ****talkers private stats brings out.
Like on zone and ol west. Its annoying as ****.

Set PM's to friends only if you're that worried about what people will think about your stats. Go to Era, Zone, or Ol'West if you wish to fully use that feature.

People still want to hit milestones. Stats are there to determine how much you have played. It does make the majority judge you based on them, but eh. Doesn't matter how much, or how people think you got them. Just play or don't.

What would be the point without stats though? Hat and Furniture collecting?

Hiding it is something optional. You don't have to if you wish not to.

I know, I was quoting something else. If I could, I'd blank out my stats. Don't want to be "pro", just want to be another player.

People have this belief that if you have a ton of stats, specifically spar, and you don't reply to them, then you are an ass or "too good for them."

Or they add you, and never pm you or anything. They just add you...

So yeah, just want all my stats hidden for those reasons. People act way differently around me now, compared to a few years ago.

I don't mind the stats at all. Just with the new system, it would be better to reset everyone before each season. This way everyone has a fresh start each season. No more worries about hiding stats.

Points may reset seasonally but your overall stats stay(e.g. win/loss stay - points reset).

I don't want to be reset though. I want to know how many wins, kills, and bks I have in total. Wouldn't be fair to someone like Sarah who is close to 100k wins.

Resetting people would make the game have no point. The only prizes are at top 3... Gralats for a reset? No thanks.

Or people who have things to do irl that have been grinding out stats and they come back to graal just for it to be all 0.

Too many kids trying to change aspects of the game that are 6-6.5 years old

What would the point be in doing anything then? Milestones over all that have been established would be demolish with such a system.

Play the game. Have fun. Do what you normally do. Stats still count but for each season. No worries about anything (mostly). Go online with a care free mind.

Stats do count seasonally its just on a point basis or a "timeframe" basis when it comes to pks.

Removing them completely is also pointless to do. Players would be hoarding cosmetics rather than gaining stats to improve and/or achieve something. It's like you want everyone to hold hands, sing kumbaja, and rejoice by staring blankly at the screen.

Quick question, what purpose does resetting stats serve exactly?

I've stated a couple times before that I don't care for my stats, that skill is what matters. But I don't see why we should take away from the stat loving community(they exist, most won't admit to it though).

The stats aren't irrelevant though. They show who has done activities the most, something a profile alone cannot show you. The seasonal leaderboard can accomplish this, but in a narrow scope.

How is what someone has done in the past relevant to the current leader board system?

The current stat numbers are just adding up to no end. What good is that?

It isn't about the leader board system. It is about players feeling a sense of pride in what they accomplished in the past. Is that wrong? Should that be condemned as stat-materialism? I don't think so, I view it more like a college diploma. It means little after you get it, it's a piece of paper, but it can tell you a lot if you wanna look.
