Gaming Laptop for under $500 or something
So hi I made a thread a little while ago asking for a gaming laptop under $800 and thanks to you all's help my mom ended up going with a Lenovo Y40-80 Laptop.
So now I come back asking for assistance finding a gaming laptop under $500! Though it doesn't have to be for super gaming, just something that can at least handle them decently, maybe on minimum settings. I mainly want to find one that can be used to do scripting and graphics. Mostly graal work, but also to do a little gaming on it if one is not doing his scripting and pixel arts. This is also only going to be used for when one is traveling since one has a desktop that he can't carry with him everywhere, that way one can work and/or play games when one is not home. I want to get this laptop for Dusty btw so don't tell him, it's a surprise. Also once again, please no dell and no HP as I have had bad experiences with them in the past and do not want to burden one with the same bad experiences. Thanks!! |
Low graphic settings are for peasants. Ultra or go home.

And yes, it may be more casual but casual gaming is still gaming. |

He'll literally only use it if we go on trips somewhere, which isn't that often so would rather not spend more than $500 on a laptop he'll rarely use. Still want a decent one though, just not too expensive. |
Somehow my piece of crap manages to play Elder Scrolls Online.

This is my laptop and I been using it since around 2012 and I bought it for 100 from my old job and well it works really well and it has handled a lot. But again I did add in some stuff to make it work a lot better. It goes for around 500 or less nowadays and I love it. Only issue is sometimes it gets blue screen but that was a issue that happen to these series of laptop from dell and it is really easy to replace any ram or screens if you break it. I do plan on adding a new mother board/proccers and it is pretty big screen but isnt too heavy. Here are the specs and even the games I played on this laptop on mid level some of those games are on high |
no such thing as a $500 'gaming' laptop, give ideal benchmarks or get out
