Lets make izone great again
 

So as everyone knows izone is headed to the ****ter. I know a lot of people here do not want that. With the current manager (a hacker) who is notorious for killing off servers entirely with his most recent being UN. This can not be alowrd to happen for izone. Especially since we all know the untapped potential this game has. Heres what i propose we do. We should make a 3 step system.

Step 1: assemble a team and get into power
Step 2: fix the core issues of the game and make it a new experience
Step 3: create meaningful content

Step 1: how we will get in. We will gather a small team of known coders/scripters, artists, level makers, and accountants (people who run the stats). Then we elect a manager to talk to stefan and persaude him to allow us to run the server.

Step 2: stefan will ask what are we going to be doing differently for the game. When we get in we will fix the main core issues. Mostly revamp pvp entirely, make the game a whole different experience. What needs to happen with pvp is gun changes, redrawing pvp zones, and fixing large base issues.

>redrawing pvp zones.
This is self explanatory. Currently there is 0 reason to pvp in bases because you can do it in a densely populated area in skyworld. How to fix this is a simple fix. You can either remove pvp from skyworld entirely or reduce the gmap drastically to like how it was at launch where everything you need is close by. The only way to repopulate bases is to give them a good reason to go there. To get kills and play against other players is a good reason.

>Base issues.
There are tons of basing issues in this game. It is very crazy. First issue lets discuss is guns. Guns are not designed for bases at all. They need to be redisgned entirely go into more details about that later.
Make iricia and ctf events.
Iricia and ctf are huge massive bases. These bases can easily hold 64 players and have a smooth flow. To make it more appealing they should be bot events. they should not remain squad bases because then it turns into one side has stacked teams and the game is not fun at all. A bot would fix this by randomly sorting teams evenly. This would make things much more fun and enjoyable.

>Flags and tactics. Like it or not flags are entirely broken and bum rushing is the overpowered god tier tactic. This has to change. Fixing bum rushing is easy all that needs to be done is removal of invincibility timers. Flags however are easily abused. Currently people in iricia just bumrush flags and if theres more attackers than defenders on it. They then get a full health restore. This is a problem as people will be in a fierce gun fight then a person gets in, touches the flag, recharges them and all their allies health in the area. The defenders are then slaughtered by the invaders. To fix this you need to have a timer of 30 seconds. 1 person = 1 second. 1 attacker on the flag = 1 second to attackers, defender on the flag = 1 second to defenders. This then creates a game of tug o war and makes it much harder to secure bases with one person going rambo.

>Add in GOOD rewards for basers. Another reason bases are emptier than the streets is because theres 0 rewards for it. To make bases appeal to larger audiences base rewards need to come into play. You can get points for killing people, playing objectives and doing certain tasks. Winners also get a hefty bonus.

Guns
Guns are a hot topic recently. Guns need huge fixing done to them. They cause a lot of problems. To fix them we must do the following

>Redesign guns for iricia and ctf
This is a given. The guns are currently designed for close range combat of sparring. This makes long range fights a pain in the ass and extremely long and dull. To fix this you can increase damage outputs drastically. This will essentially make the game much more punishing if you get hit by a bullet. This will shorten long range gun fights because if you manage to trap someone they are toast. This DOES work. Dont care what anyone says, it works. The reason it failed miserably when i did it was the game was not designed for that but for spar. If pvp zones were removed from skyworld and spar redesigned, this would have been 0 issue. Amother way is to redesign guns entirely and make a whole new system.

>Remove invincibility timers
This is a massive issue that needs to go. this causes a ton of pain for everyone and drastically slows down gameplay as people are absorbing multiple bullets. This allows an extremely overpowered tactic of rushing making it the only viable tactic as it is the best tactic by far. This also ruins squad bases as flags become easier to rush and makes it very hard to defend.

>add in unique weapon abilities

Finally we have classes
Classes are currently garbage. Heres how were fixin em

>all classes get a special utility for free.
We keep in the current 3 classes. Each class will have there own special abilites that will allow them to become key rolls in combat

>medics will be given a ability that puts up a health field around them. The medic and Anyone nearby the medic will instantly beging the self hp repair process that a player goes through when they have not taken damage in a certain amount of time. Ontop of that the medic and anyone near the medic gain an extra 4hp every 4 seconds for 20 seconds. Once done it has a 30 second cool down before usage again.

>commandos job is to kill and break through the lines. To do this they will get an extremely powerful grenade launcher that has one shot and a long range. This can be lobbed over people and cause mass damage and death. they have a very long reload and you will be frozen when reloading, use smartley.

>defenders job is to defend, defenders will get the ability of taking 50% less damage by trading out 50% of their speed. This lasts for 25 seconds and has a 45 second cool down. They will become literal bullet sponges and easy to hit targets but will take a while to take down. Put one of these guys at a choke point behind a wall and your set.

Those are the main game issues and how to fix them

Step 3: create meaningful content.
This is what izone lacks. Izone needs more meaningful content that will help advance the meta game to keep the game fresh fun and different.

>no more holiday shops and quests for dumb holidays
These are absolutely useless and a waste of time. Admins spend most of there time devoloping this garbage instead of good quality items. What should happen instead is release some holiday stuff. Thats fine and dandy. They should only really have a few hats and furniture. Then release a permanent shop that releases usefull items such as class specific items and items that will change how the game is played.

>less hats furniture etc. while these are nice cashgrab items, they do not add anything to the game. We need items that add too the games experience.

This is the last chance we have, if we could pull this off we can make izone like no other graal and a huge success. Izone has that potential, lets tap into it. If we banded together, this is within reason 100%

The guns we're fine for now, but i had updates for them and gameplay that would be pretty similar to what youre proposing, but would work out more universally, it was all planned to be done in a process. Ill respond to the rest later when i have time. Theres a lot i agree with and some i don't, but im 100% behind getting things changed

not using greentext. Greentext don't work here. Just using the arrows for making it easier to determine the points being made and subcatagorize things. Makes it more organized and easier to read imo.

Also we could do this desu. If we made our own team that is far superior than the current team (not hard at all) and make stefan more money. We would get in a heartbeat. As i have said before, we have the talent and we have the people here who are willing to put in quality work because they want zone to suceed

guns were not fine at all. A lot of the guns are unviable and were flat out bad compared to other guns. Guns are still designed for only close range combat and god damn spar. Last guns have very little variety and are quite bland, don't offer anything really unique.

We can fix it right now, just fire 3/4 of the useless ZPs, Repick All the GFX, Levels, and coding staff, and redo the gmap to be smaller, like the 2014 map.

A lot of izones issues are such easy fixes though and require not much work. 2 main issues are removing invincibility timers entirely and add in high quality basing rewards and you fixed 2 huge issues with the game. The staff arent going to do anything cause all talk no action. If we could gather people who are known we could get in.

You cant apply to the current staff team. The current staff team does not want to do any work and will fire anyone who tries to get work done. The only way its even possible to get people working on izone again is if we overthrow the current administration team and replace it with a better team. Once this is done, then we can start making izone great again.

Bu-but ghetto you need a lot of people to run this server! No we dont need many people at all. We only need 5, a manager, gani, a levels admin, a graphics admin and a bookkeeper. We can start out small and grow the staff from there. Inb4 zp, **** off zps are a waste of time in this game, there not needed.

At the most you need people who are willingly ready to make this happen yah some guns were better than others but most of the good stuff was for auction, Wich auction should be lowered by a lot having spent 400,000 gralats on a gun or melee, and honestly current manager stupid asf I'm sure if he's fired and get someone better zone would be better depending on who it is, plus 90%of the ZP don't do there job besides just sit there and mess with items and host events (events hats are so common it's sad to even get one now a days), gfx team I've only seen some stuff under idave name so he's doing his job the rest I doubt zone needs a whole new outlook on futuristic stuff, when Geno was still admin he was the reason VIP was still worth to buy, just get rid of dumb manager and get back the main parts of administration

I disagree because the only 2 with high power at the time was Fried Rice and Alex. They called the shots and they don't really reply to anyone unless they need something fixed. I resigned after New Years because of the Christmas scripts thing.

There's no way to revive zone. Its bugged out, low amount of players, lame guns, and just unpleasant to the eye. We need a new server.

Tired of waiting. Zone sucks. That'll never change if corrupted staffs are there. Make a new server instead. Futuristic like zone.

I had planned to do that until i got hired on zone. A lot of my updates i had planned were from it. I'll give zone a liittle bit more time tho.

Biggest issues with zone staff is respect and priorities, if both of those were to be straightened out, we'd have a solid server because things would get done like they should.

Management is/was incompetent. That's pretty much the gist of iZone's lack of growth and development.

Before carlito, when i was there i had a lot of ideas i was preparing to implement, one thing i liked is that i was allowed to do them because alex and fr were open to ideas, issue was tho that there was times i needed them to fix/change something and it'd either take weeks for it to finally get done, or wasn't done at all. At that rate, progress wasn't were it should've been but things were moving so it wasn't too bad, they just needed to prioritize better and we'd be fine. Now, with carlito, we're barely even allowed to give ideas anymore because they'd just be ignored or instantly shot down with no discussion. And if he had an idea, which usually stemmed from his lack of zone knowledge because he doesn't even play the game, we were not allowed to make any disagreements on it no matter how bad it was (like his plan to intentionally make zone pay2win ((worst offense a game can make)) and his removal of my weapons admin position and make zp edit guns, which none know how to properly do the position (its more than it looks)), i got fired for constantly telling him that the pay2win thing was gonna kill zone, and he got mad when a few others and I were telling him removing the weapons admin position and making zp do it was bad (he did this because someone wanted work, and i offered to give them an assignment, thats literally what happened). A good leader leads, not controls, carlito wouldnt do a thing useful on the server and play league all day, but when someone wants to make some progress it always turned into some big argument, which tends to revolve around how "hes at a higher position and what he says goes" and led to rash decisions. He's power hungry, controlling, impulsive, and like i said to him and cheltarre and whoever else, this isnt me trying to bad mouth zone, ill be honest about whats going on and the fact that most of its negative needs to be a wake up call, not to carlito, but to unix about whats going on with his server, because its clear as day that our current management team isnt right for the job and need to be replaced with someone who respects his staff, is motivated, level headed, plays the game so he's knowledgeable, and will let creativity flow.

A fine job? So destroying multiple ganis is doing "a fine job?" Geno talks about him helping Zone and stuff, but talking smack about the server isn't helping.

We all know zone is a bad server for one, he was trying to buff and nerf guns for a reason I doubt u even know, and for the most part everyone talks bad about zone this is why it needs improving
