Surprised no one made a thread about this yet. Any of you planning to get Overwatch? It's a team-based shooter with over 21 heroes to chose from each with their own unique abilities and guns. It is made by Blizzard and looks extremely fun. I already pre-ordered it and can't wait for the Early Access beta on May 3rd. You all should try it as the Open Beta is May 5th and lasts through the 9th. Personally, I been itching for a new FPS and Overwatch just might do.

Frankly, I don't like TF2 and I can only see few comparisons to Overwatch. Overwatch seems to be a better game in my opinion. Besides I along with friends already plan to play beta and open launch so no prob supporting a promising new IP.

Overwatch is slightly better and more active, while TF2 is lacking a bit of things that Overwatch has, I think.

Well to each their own. TF2 ripoff or not (seriously just one mode, few heroes, and what..a similar art style?), Overwatch is gonna be a hell of a fun game to play and I can't personally wait to get into it. Hopefully, some of you Graalians hop on the Open Beta as well. Maybe we can do some ownage together.

And to that message: Why not? I already got it and don't really regret it. While I do agree that some Blizzard games flopped like Diablo 3, I believe Overwatch will flourish. A goofy, fun team-based shooter is just what I need and I'm sure as hell not getting Battleborn. Talk about boring.

Friend ordered the game for me, Probably gonna try it out when it comes out.

Pretty fun game. It gets a little repetitive but hopefully that will change when the competitive game mode is released.

It's amazing. The only game I been playing this week. Some heroes need a bit tweaking but other than that, this game is a gem. Best $40 I spent in awhile.

Finally succumbed to the hype. I will be trying this game. Anyone wanna play?

Game is released. I already know what I'll be playing this whole summer. It is too fun and addicting. These two weeeks been a drag but I'm so happy to get right back into the fight. Wooooo!

Lemme know what you guys think of this game, im currently on the fence about getting it or not.

Can see my impressions all over this thread. It's a really fun and well-polished game. Some heroes do need to be balanced but all in all it's one of the best team based shooters I played. Just make sure to play with friends. It's not boring solo but random teammates can be random.

It's fun but it'll be a hell of a lot more fun when competitive is released.

Game looks cool but after seeing some streamers play it, it looks like the devs are going to need a lot more time to balance some of these characters.

Idk why but mei gets me angry for some reason. But other then that i want this game pretty badly regardless of what others think

I feel like the characters are generally pretty balanced. I'd say they all tend to have at least one hero who can quite easily counter them.

I'll use Bastion as an example as I've heard a lot of people say he's overpowered. He's fairly inaccurate when in turret mode so any long-range hero such as Hanzo or Widowmaker can easily take him out when in he's out in the open. If he's camping around a corner a fast character who can flank easily such as Tracer or Reaper can get behind him and do a lot of damage. If he's hiding in a building Pharah or Junkrat can quite easily killing him through their explosive damage.

If you want to win games in Overwatch you have to be able to adapt to situations and sometimes that means playing characters that you might not enjoy as much as others but I guess that's just part of the game.

Right now, the heroes are pretty balanced. Each hero has a counter hero..Just have to find it. Some heroes need a bit of a buff like Symettra shields she give to teammates and Zenyatta health but I think Blizzard did a good job with balancing the 21 heroes. We gonna be seeing balance changes in near future so we'll see who gets touch and changed.

Yeah I'd agree Symettra needs a bit of a buff. Zenyatta doesn't seem quite as bad though, just feels like he isn't useful in as many situations as other hero's may be (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). But yeah, a health buff of something like 25 or 50 could make him a little more viable.

I got the legendary "djinnyatta" skin for Zenyatta so I was trying to get into and get good as Zenyatta but I found that I felt like I was never really contributing to the team as much as I could be if I had picked a different hero. He doesn't really have any "game changing" abilities besides his ultimate which is great for holding points although I find his casual abilities mediocre.

Couldn't have stated better myself. See Zenyatta role is not only half-healer but to debuff the other team using his orb of discord. His attacks hit hard but Zenyatta has such a low health pool that one power shot from Widow can end him, head shot or not. As Vendetta said, his health needs to be buffed up a bit to 175 or around there. A lot of players agree he is really lacking as his role. Just look at comp play. He used to be used a lot but the nerfs to his harmony and discord orbs made him not even a tender choice to pick.

Recently I've been playing zenyatta as much as possible and he's so good if not for his minimal health. I agree that a small health buff is what he needs to be viable. Widowmaker should not one shot him with a body shot.

If Zenyatta got a health buff I'd probably ragequit. Zenyatta is meant to be played as a support, behind your enemy team, healing your lowest teammate and debuffing their biggest threat. In a long lasting team fight, Zenyatta is the difference, more so than even lucio tbh because of the ability to debuff anyone without cooldown.

Zenyatta currently has the same health as Tracer. 150. If Zenyatta gets more health, he can take more hits. And an above average Zenyatta player will discord you then land 3 headshots and you're dead. Or discord you and use a charge shot and you're likely dead in a 1v1 scenario.

I've seen Zenyatta's melt tanks easily. No buff pls

I don't have any consoles and I do stuff on my laptop. I'm thinking of getting overwatch in the future but I heard its bad on console.

Oh boy. I been on and off Overwatch. It's fun but I feel the small amount of maps makes it a bit boring after awhile. Plus with Steam summer sale and all the single player games I got, I don't know what I'ma do.

South korea is going nut with this game. it affected the most popular games in S.korea. (LoL, Fifa16, Sudden Attack, Maplestory)
idk if i should get it or not. seems very fun to play with friends. like for 1 hour a day.

Out of curiosity I bought 5 loot crates.
I received 3 legendary skins and a legendary crate with 500 coins in it.
One for D.va, one for Mei, one for Genji.
And a Roadhog emote.
