Pokemon friends or slaves
You guys debate ill state my reasons later
|
Pretty sure they're like gladiators who actually like their masters.
|
tbh both are valid, some trainers use them as slaves to work in constructions but pokemons seem to be fine with it, and other trainers use them to battle for money, fame, control. I think depending on the trainer the pokemon adapts

Is my cat a friend or a slave?

Stockholm victims.

Pokémon seem to take on the values and ideals of their trainers. I'm not sure if it's the pokéball technology that changes them or if pokémon are naturally blank slates that need trainers to fill them with ambition.
Natural or unnatural; I'd argue they're still friends. It's probably better than messing about in the wilderness anyway. I've seen like 1% of pokémon so let me know if any of the other 99% contradicts this. |
i think pokemon are too ******ed to be either slaves or friends
the only exception is mewtwo but a bunch of crying got him to stop whatever it was he was doing, so he's philosophical but still pretty ******ed |
They're like domesticated animals
|
both, honestly i would use them as slaves and help me get me my senpai otaku neko loving chan btch
|
Worst gaming title ever imo, just a tad controversial
|
Well, to me, my Pokemon are just slaves.
|
So you think they are slaves right

Pokémon aren't slaves. When trainers capture them in Pokéballs, then they become slaves. Ever notice how when a Pokémon is defeated, they just get sent back into the Pokéball? Or how when a Pokémon refuses to listen to their trainer, back into the Pokéball they go? Punishment. If you knew the horrors that went on inside those Pokéballs, you'd go in your PC box and release every single one of your "trained" Pokémon on the spot. They're trained alright. Once they come out for a forced battle or to do some menial task, they know that if they screw things up it only means more pain for them. Next time a shady Pokémart shop keeper asks if you're interested in "catching" Pokémon, report him to the nearest Officer Jenny as soon as possible. Pokémon are willing to become friends, and help you on their own. There's no need to trap them in little prisons and carry them around like objects.

If I had a pokemon it'd be a slave. If I had a human it'd be a slave. There's no difference

Same question about dogs

I just wonder how a big pokemon like snorlax can fit into such a tiny ball. I can only imagine how hard it is for the pokemon trainer to try to close it all the way.
