Rotten eggs

I have egg #101 on display at my house and people say it will rot? Won't it rot no matter where i put it? Also why can't staff make it so that it only rots if you take it out of the display holder? :/

PigParty 03-27-2016 04:55 AM

I think they shouldn't rot if they're in the holder since it's there to display it. If it's removed, then it should automatically rot after the alotted amount of time. I guess egg appearances change somewhat from year-to-year, so it seems disappointing to have a display, only to have your favorite looking eggs rot and possibly be different the next year. (Assuming they actually do rot by the next year while in the display)

Pokki 03-27-2016 05:35 AM

Apparently Dusty said they will rot in the displays by next year, which I find really lame and pointless. If it is going to rot in the display, why buy it? A lot of people want to use it to show the history of Graal Classic. :D

I'm pretty sure that since the Easter Egg Hunt is done every year, having eggs from the previous year may confuse players doing the hunt for next year. Moreover, since the graphics are just updated on the eggs from year to year and the same scripts are reused (with adjustments), you would suddenly see your egg #1 for example, change into a different egg.

So that you cant use them again in the next hunt, so you can throw them at people, i dont really know anyhing else

The ? pattern on the egg is just the default for when the actual pattern hasn't loaded

The question I would have (were I to use my graals to put eggs in) is if you need to rearrange your furniture, won't the egg you put in the display simply vanish upon being restored or having the furniture item put back into your inventory?? We have this issue with food (particularly for the restore option, which makes the item disappear completely). In the case of eggs, which have a temporary folder for the egg hunt, won't the item just zip into the rotten egg slot???

Most likely they will, it'd be cool if they did something about that tho, i lost a nice balloon once and some old food because I thought they wouldnt vanish...

The eggs do go back to your inventory.

This begs the following questions...

'If and when will the gathered eggs rot this year?'

'Do individual eggs have a shelf life now?'

'If an egg gets put on an egg stand, would shelf life get reset or suspended?'

'Will we not get hundreds of eggs to throw and make people smell funny?'

Inquiring minds want to know.

I believe Dusty previously said that eggs will rot 1 year from now for next easter, even if they're on the egg stand. Although I'm too lazy to look back and find the quote.

There was a glitch with the egg stands that let you get free rotten eggs so it was best to just reset them. It's not something planned to occur again.

I understood the reset, but I was wondering if the 'eggstra's we collect from the hunt collection this year will rot when the hunt is over or if it will take a full year.

Just the logistics of eggs stored in the egg cup vs eggs that will be rotten and throwable... the inventory slots are confusing me.

Will see I guess.

Rotten eggs will work exactly as they have in the past. Eggs will rot in the egg cups and when you remove them you gain a rotten egg.

I feel you. I accidentally put a ballon holder back in my inventory and the my pluto ballon flew awa ;-;

And for the Egg with the ?
It's a rare chance to get it and randomly changes to a egg. I got 48 from it.
And Admin should make it so that after the Egg hunt when you take the eggs out that they only then rot.

shame you couldn't pick yours up. I got mine and when i was running around picking up eggs it hatched into a wild charizard 0_0

Lol

Narcosis 04-01-2016 03:57 PM

I was happy to see that we could still pick up our eggs from the egg cups and they'd return to our inventory. However, I made the mistake of logging off for a sec while I had said egg in my inventory, and when I came back on.. Well, I had one more rotten egg.

For the record, I loved this year's egg hunt. I just couldn't believe how suddenly it ended. I mean, with 100 eggs I thought for sure we'd be given at the very least 2 weeks. I wasn't in any real rush. I was just enjoying collecting the eggs. It was fun. Then suddenly I log in to find 230 rotten eggs (also upsetting because I had planned to buy more egg displays and display more eggs). Totally got blindsided.

This egg hunt didn't cater to the people that don't have the time to play Graal several hours every day.

And the egg display function was clearly not-well-thought-out. Likely a last minute addition.
