DIY 3DS Game
I bet there are a lot of you who want to develop your own game :). I'm going to let you create your own game and post it in the comments section. I'll put the template in the Spoiler. It was easy making the template. Use gimp or photoshop to make your image because Paint doesn't work well with transparent images.

Spoiler 3, Allows you to look at and change items in your inventory. Spoiler
Spoiler 4, Allows you to select another person and do actions such as invite to house, pm, etc. Spoiler

I think Era would work great on the 3DS, with the circle pad as the moving arund button, and the ABXY buttons as the direction you shoot in. On the top screen would be the gameplay screen, then the bottom could have all the other on-screen buttons besides the move and shoot buttons.

Sure thing. Ill see what i can do with Game Maker for the DIY 3DS thingy just for the hell of it

This is funny, ive actually made some mockups of this before.
In my imagination, the top screen would be the normal graal screen with hearts in the upper right (And mebbe other things, but more screen realty is better) The only 3d part would be a popped out gui, with the game sunken inward. (Particles would be cool in 3d too) The bottom screen would display your currently equipped items on the right, and you tap to change them. (Using the physical buttons on the 3ds would use them/sword etc) On the bottom right, there would display gralats, kills, w/e is necessary really. The bottom of the screen would display option buttons. Settings, profile, news, w/e. On the left would be the important part. A scrollable list of nearby players. It would show the players who are nearby, mebbe within a level or 2. Clicking on one of them in the list would open their profile and show options for that player and crap. I think it would be really smooth and work really nice. That way the upper screen is fully uncluttered for pure gameplay, and the bottom screen is fully utilized as far as touch capabilities and usability. |

The only problem with this the question, would people buy it? I mean the app store is more popular than a 3DS and were stuck on the 1000 people bar, which seems like alot but out of the millions with apple devices. Theyll go whats graal? I mean im the only person in my school that knows what graal is, i mean graal isnt a like a racing game where they search racing and itll appear, i only found graal because i found a game called dinosmash by accident and then saw people player graal after like 5months got graal then waited for era, if not for accidently stumbling apon dinosmash i would never have found era and probably been abit richer than i am now XD but yea :/ if theyre certain this would work then they should do it rather than spending the time to make everything for the 3DS to gain 100 extra players. If they did that then era would have to start from the beginning again and snk would have to slowly transfer the data from pc to 3ds, just my opinion on it though.

I do not have a 3DS, just a normal DS light which I didnīt use in a while. So I donīt know of any features which could be done but this is an idea for the top screen. Some buttons would have to get removed though but itīs just a starting (actually I wanted to try to design a new screen for iClassic)

I decided to place a game me and my friends are working on now called Crystarium into this 3DS screen for the heck of it.

Made this just now:
I don't have any experiences of GraalOnline Era, but here is an example of GraalOnline Classic for the 3DS. Controls Overworld Mode D-pad: Movement Slide pad: Drag viewing A: Grab B: Sword X/Y: Items L: Read newest/next PM R: Read newest/next Guild Message Start: Main menu Select: Profile Conversation Mode A: Reply (brings up touchscreen keyboard) B: Close X: Open sender's profile Y: Conversation history L: Read next PM R: Read next Guild Message Since the game will not be using any 3DS-specific features, it will also be compatible with DS, DS Lite, and DSi devices (minus the slide pad drag-view). Also shown in the video are several other game modes. Online Play The same as the game on iPhones and PC. Requires Nintendo WFC. Solo Play A smaller, offline world where the player can explore and do quests in. Multi-Play Play with up to 7 other friends nearby via Nintendo DS ad-hoc wireless. Games include team-based CTF or tower sieges. Could also just be a hangout. Transfer Transfers your account to a new device via Nintendo DS ad-hoc wireless. The features seem pretty basic, though I thought about also incorporating StreetPass for the 3DS version, where in the game, you have a separate friends list just for people met via StreetPass. Added characters could be used as allies in Solo Play mode. |
