last semester in art class me and my friends would always joke around about Jesus camp (it's a movie about a Christian camp that took things a bit far) and we didn't realize that there was a guy sitting at our table that was Christian

he kind of hates me LOL


O another funny story:

When I was in grade 4, i would always go over to my friends house, and her parents were super Christian. When I said "oh my god" her sisters literally gave me the death glare. And when her sisters fought, her mom would tell everyone to hold hands in a circle and pray for 10 min. Note that I was a small child that had no clue what Jesus was, or the bible lmao. Imagine how I felt when we ate dinner and everyone was closing their eyes holding hands and praying while I started eating ... jesus

It's possible to be neutral in an argument, if there isn't enough convincing (subjective) information. Oh, and the joke is noting the unnecessary emphasis on very unimportant problems, like a revelation to clarity, that masterbaition is not an important subject to impose a rule on. It's kinda like the "first world problems" theory.

E.g. if I was god, I could say "if you start walking with your left foot forward rather than your right foot, then you are sinning." Then, you will follow the rules simply because I'm one of the most influencing social institutions in the world, so by nature you will likely abide. Eventually, the clever one will point out my logical fallacy, but some loyal followers will defend me for some pointless reason.

It's a win win for people who believe, and it's an I-don't-give-a-**** situation for those who don't. Religion is a social institution. It wouldn't make any sense to disrespect people who don't believe by sending them to hell, it's hypocritical. If someone was never introduced to the religion of christianity, do they still go to hell when they die, since they never even got the chance to believe? As I said, it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Let's say I was to be wrong. That there is no God. He's just a mythical bearded guy written in a book by some drunkard. What then? I did nothing wrong? I would just die, decompose. I didn't commit a sin since religion doesn't apply right? So I'm home free. Believing in Christianity, I'm doing nothing wrong. It's either my soul rises up to heaven or I just die in peace on Earth. I'd prefer going to heaven but ip either one is fine. Why would you choose to believe in nothing and miss out on such a thing. That's why ATHIESTS to me are really ******ed.

No clue who that is but I'm guessing he was very religious. If you ever saw me in an argument on religion, I'd usually say the same things as I did now. Know why, because no one has had anything to disprove what I say so I stick tpwith that statement. It's easier than me trying to prove God's religion. If they don't care for God than how about they care for themselves and their well being in the afterlife.

You are referencing Pascals Wager, which is totally flawed. There are tons of scenarios where you go to hell for you believing in your god, and if you don't think so you are just straight up ignorant.

Yes but if I'm not wrong those other gods are beneath christ. That's why some gods are reffered to with a lowercase g and the high and mighty God is reffered to with a capital G.

Not trying to prove you wrong, I consider myself a Christian. I'm js that theres only 1 or 2 ideal scenarios for you, while there are hundreds that you are damned to eternal hell, and that you're idea that by believing in Christ makes your afterlife more secure than any other religions is flat out wrong. You're just as likely to go to hell as any Muslim or Atheist.

If you want an explanation as why your statement is wrong then here:

If Christianity is true you go to Heaven.
If Atheism is true nothing happens.
If Islam is true you go to Hell.
If any of the hundreds of African/Asian religions are true you go to Hell.

Your options aren't Heaven or nothing. Not only that but if you are just believing in God because you desire Heaven, you aren't a true believer and you're going to Hell. So no, it's not ******ed to be an Atheist; it is ******ed to be a stuck up Christian who believes their salvation is guaranteed because their parents say Jesus loves them.

I'm speaking for myself when I say this, but I have nothing wrong with a belief system. I could literally give you an entire theory on why we exist in the first place that would take about a month to explain, and I guarantee that I will convince you that I am right. In fact, if you yourself understood the Bible, you would know that it uses a lot of symbolism. Adam and Eve? 99.999999 etc.% likely that it never happened. But it has a philosophical meaning, and I could tie it in with that theory, so the Bible isn't all that useless. When it comes to stubbornness, however, I absolutely hate teaching people a single thing out of my life, because as shift said, it's about the journey, not the destination. I hate to waste my precious time.

If you wish to have a good argument, try learning about sociology, because only then will you be able to understand why YOU believe in christianity.
