Bring back Unholy Nation
 

After an incident last night, Unholy Nation had an issue with their SQL Databases. By the looks of it, all databases are a complete loss. I have backups, and Carlito has backups. But because Unholy Nation is "too much of a headache", Carlito has decided to permanently shut the server down. I don't think this is right, and I'm sure the 60+ players that call Unholy Nation their home do not think it is right either.

We need to stand together, and fight for our "home" back!

404 - Error page not found

I thought you need like 100 signatures for a petition to work, so around 60 isn't going to work lol. Plus, a working petition page would be helpful. (For those that play the game)

A petition isn't the right way to go. What you need to do is reunite a group of well known UN players and they all start singing their heart out for the return of their home server. Think of something like this:

Fixed the URL. Shutting a server down that can easily be fixed with a recent backup is not alright. Unholy Nation was a thriving community, with a very active player base. Until Carlito took over as PWA, they did not have the authority to shut down a server in the classic tab simply because it was "too much of a headache". Alot of developers, including myself, put a lot of time and effort into that server. I could totally understand if it wasn't active, but it is. The community was alive and well.

Weren't they intending on rebuilding the server so it wasn't such a mess?

What's the point of being on a server that is struggling to hit 50+

Sure, you may have shared a lot of memories, and did not want UN to die,
but those memories don't last on the game... they last in your hearts?
(No, really... just add them on another social network)

A lot of people are gonna say no, but... honestly, if you want, you could just play on iClassic. It's pretty much the same, except with... you know... people.


With all that said, I'd probably be a little dissapointed when iClassic goes to sleep, but you know, nothing lasts forever.

what the ****, UN has been standing relatively strong since 2001...this is stupid. the server is garbage but it's the only "classic" server that was left on the serverlist.

I'm not much of a fan of UN but as far as PC servers go it's been relatively stable with its playerbase. I see no reason it should be gone due to a stroke of bad luck. May as well shut down all the PC servers if this is their reasoning.

Keep in mind that you're only hearing one side of the story here. I would be interested in Carlito elaborating on his criteria for "too much of a headache."

I played UN for about a week (after not playing it for years) after Christmas because iClassic was just too laggy. Carlito had to be dragged online several times during those days to handle the most petty stuff, such as players mass messaging personal information and UN staff freely allowing banned players to loiter about the server.

He'd come online, clean the mess up, log off, and then mass messages would return to how he should kill himself, how he's a terrible PWA, etc.

If staff did a more conscious effort in weeding out the trashbags of the community, this probably wouldn't happen. I don't even have to name names. You guys hire people as staff who harass players, give out IP addresses and personal information, make weird websites targeting your community, etc. The in-game forums were a cesspool of inside-joke harassment and strange ********* jokes. It's pretty weird, not gonna lie...
And you guys openly integrate those types of people into your community by giving them NPCs around the map and hiring them as staff. I don't understand why.

So anyway, it's a shame that it happened because there are people like Stowen, Ph8, and others who actually worked on the server and didn't contribute to it being a garbage can.

GTA should be hosted again now that UN is gone

Can't speak for Thor, but I'm not too keen on helping Graal after being screwed over so many times by management.

Nothing creates a satisfied playerbase like forcing them to play something by taking away their options.

It should not be assumed that I wish for GtA to be publicly listed at this time.

It should also not be assumed that I want to develop for Graaf any further than UN.

No offense to GtA or Thor, of course, you did a wonderful job with GtA.

None taken. I should probably have added that I would never expect someone to jump ship from their home server that they have worked hard on as if nothing had happened.

Let me chime in on this subject, and that is that this has been coming for a long time. UN is on life support now, and very well should be. Why?

UN Gameflow
1. Play spar game
2. Mass message
3. Play spar game
4. Spar one guy 70 times
5. Spar game
6. Get banned


The content of the server is lacking, nothing new has happened in 10 years, and players are dropping like flies. There is also a problem with management, as there are 3 or 4 people who just rotate in and out of various staff positions, and all talking about their "plan", and nothing ever comes of it.

And the quality of the players there? As soon as I log in, mass messages start about how "T3CK is fat!" "T3CK is ugly!" This kind of conversation is representative of the quality of the whole server as a whole, and I am glad to see it finally going under.

Everybody knows the whole reason these servers still exist is because dev staff on FB and mobile servers use the PC client and pulling the plug on them would just create unnecessary fussing and moaning.

Let it go, people, this is 2016, time to move on. It was a big part of my life growing up too but as Graal evolved so did I. I now parade around Classic as John Rocker.

UN is a like a forgotten legend . Classic will become the same if the ****ty lag don't go away (Don't tell me its not as simple as that , i know it already)

UN is a good place to separate yourself from the infectious imbeciles that lurk in iClassic. Less lag and you can befriend players who aren't arrogant.

UN was my favorite server, so pissed to see it go. With it's unique events it offered an experience unlike any other MMO. Era and Zodiac are just massive grindfests you can't enjoy unless you put hundreds of hours into them. UN on the other hand offered a level playing field.

Classic the adventure is nice, but once you complete the quests there's nothing to do.

It could be because you mass that you're the best and that "you've returned in a glorious fashion" while referring to yourself in 3rd person. Just a guess.

If you checked the news they are offering 3 options to retreive lost items
either

1. they work with individual players to get their items back
2. they give a bunch of ep as compensation to those who lost stuff
3. Everyone gets reset


Better not be option 3.

Trust me filgore I know you're a late Comer to the server but all these things came about long before that gimmick started. I only started that gimmick in response to how dull the server was. And the dissing me in masses used to be the only semi entertaining thing there, now the mass arguing isn't even original, just standard middle school garbage, the kind of thing UN homers say I have to go to classic to get.

In fact a server manager begged me to come on and help with 'scripting because I'm a professional but I kind of just didn't do anything because I saw it as a lost cause.

Well PC graal has been dying since mobile graal.

Not really surprised.

But I honestly like the PC servers more than mobile servers so this is kinda disappointing.
