It looks really good imo, and the community is tiny atm. (me, one other member and the mod)

Minecraft is way better than Terria or any other trash 505 Games tries publishing. As soon as these fags saw how popular Flappy Bird was, they started making games exactly like it. And that's where they lose my vote. Unoriginal pieces of trash.

Really, really disappointed the world wasn't open with freedom for objectives and progression. I was really hoping for a cool 3D Terraria experience :(

See, a lot of negative reviews are being thrown around due to broken expectations.
I knew the game wouldn't be like that and I was still interested.
I'm genuinely intrigued, do you think it's a bad game, or were you just disappointed that it wasn't what you perceived it as?

I'm still interested, but it horribly lowered my expectations as to what I would end up considering fun. Terraria was fun because you and your friends could enter a huge world and do so much all from within this world. It's a unified and lengthy experience. The new game honestly seems like they wanted to do something like Terraria but couldn't get the engine efficient enough to do an entire world.

I just feel like the broken islands things severely limits the expansiveness of the game and makes me feel like I'm visiting temporary worlds to get what I need and leave. It's the same problem that I have with the Nether in Minecraft. A world that you visit once to get whatever resource you need once and never want to go back. It just gives me the opposite feeling that Terraria gave me, and feels like a bad middle ground between Terraria and Minecraft.
