Mushroom Presentation: Getting Started
 

Alright, so currently I'm on a really good B in my biology class and I was able to convince my teacher to let us hold presentations next Semester about current Topics from our book.

Of course I took mushrooms because it sounded like a great Topic and I got totally hyped up.

So I've already looked a bit arround on which mushrooms I possibly want to buy, the spawns, not the actual mushrooms, I want to grow them myself of course.

The entire site is in german because I live in Austria so it probably won't be too interesting for most of you.

Though I really Need advice on which mushroom spawn I should buy!
After all I cant get the fitting Wood/hay/otherstuff if I dont have a clue for which Kind of mushroom I wanna get.
Ones that won't take too Long to grow since I only have this Semester.

I thought about oyster, white button, and Shiitake since I read in a lot of articles that theyre the easiest ones to grow but I have no idea which one to pick (Kind of want a really fancy one or cute one).

Anyways, whatever works best for you, if you got the materials around the house to grow these things then that's probably the one you want to get.

I dont think we have roadkill as a Topic tbh.
I live in an rather smaller Apartment, so I have my worries.

but we did it in biology, be sure to sterilize wherever you're growing the mushrooms and cut off all light. A little light is bad, a lot of light is even worse

Small Update: I had this entire week off and I did not do anything productive, today is the last day of my break so I think I'm gonna start working on the poster. Tune in next week 2 find out how this goes.

Sorry for the late reply.The only tip i have for you is using a fresh log of ironwood(that's what i used).Be sure to drill holes in it later on as it has something to do with keeping the temperature constant.Hope that helps. :)
