Graal Online Classic: The Card Game
 

I was looking through old threads and remembered Blueh's old Graalians! The Card Game thread, where he used a Yu-Gi-Oh! card generator to make a spoof game and create cards based off of the forums. I thought it was a neat idea, but Blueh went inactive and the thread got closed. The idea of a Graalians themed card game would be fun, but only so many people use Graalians, so how about an idea for an actual Classic card game?

I know the old PC one exists, but that mostly just uses old PC images and is pretty much meant for the PC.

Ideas for possibly an actual deck could be cool, and I don't know how mechanics could work, but I thought it'd be fun to use a generator and make some cards based off of Classic.

I used Hearthstone as the generator because I like the style of the cards better than Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon, but if this becomes an actual thing I'd rather have it not just be a complete Hearthstone reskin (the old Graalians card game was starting to turn into a complete reskin of Yu-Gi-oh!). Mana could be replaced with "Gralats" and have a different mechanic for example. I only put a Mana number for the non-player cards because there should be something to work by.

I had some ideas for how card ranks could work (basic, weak cards costing a Green Gralat to be played, and powerful, rare cards costing a Rainbow Gralat to be played, or something like that).

If you have any ideas, feel free to leave them here, this is just a fun idea for now. :)

Top Scroll = Name
Gralat = Cost
Bomb = Damage
Yin-Yang = Health
Bottom Scroll = Class

Gralat Color/Background Color = Rarity



(I thought about doing a Graalians! The Card Game - 3 thread, but I think even Blueh said himself that he didn't want it to be a Yu-Gi-Oh! reskin which is what it was turning in to, so yeah. Plus, I didn't want to hijack his idea since he had already made so many cards.)

I was liked the idea of playing card games on graal, even if it meant its just blackjack with some graal theme. Hope something like this would happen.

Thanks for the cards! I like the ideas but I'd rather not use players from the game (though a few did make me chuckle) and rather focus on the lore of Classic. However, I definitely think we could just rename them and keep their abilities.

EDIT: Also, I don't necessarily want this to be a version of Hearthstone per say. The abilities in Hearthstone are nice but maybe the abilities should be given different names (such as 'Charge' and 'Battlecry', although I'm not a huge fan of the way Charge and resting cards mechanics work).

I had some ideas for being able to spawn/play cards. The main one was a mix of Pokemon and Hearthstone (kinda). In Hearthstone it costs mana to call/play a Minion, so this version of mana could be 'Gralats'. However it would also have some Pokemon similarities as there could be different kinds of Gralats (green, red, black, rainbow, etc.) and certain cards require a specific Gralat type/amount to be played, and the higher the Gralat value the better the card. Just an idea. If anyone has any others leave them here too!

The images can easily be replaced to suit classic needs, and descriptions can be rewritten into their own words.

First it was Pokemon, then it was yugioh, now it's online for hearthstone.

"Hey, I still play with my Pokemon cards!"

Well, forget you guys... okay, cause when I was a kid, my parents told me that they weren't going to buy those trading cards from the guy selling elotes, because the "cards have pictures of demons"...

I'm sure it was because we were broke :P, cause they would still let me watch the shows on KidsWB, haha. You know you were broke, if you had to wait until saturday to watch cartoons on KidsWB, and record cartoonnetwork from your neighbors house on vhs tapes. :D

This is more for fun tbh, not really an official card game

Meh, real player cards seem more fun and creative. Go crazy (but not too crazy!!)

EDIT: Also, to make sure your cards don't disappear after a day or so, upload them to Imgur since the Heartstone generator deletes them after they've been created.

Can some talented pixel artist create a card template so this could be a thing?
