Can GraalOnline Classic Get Released On Steam?

We should make this happen.
There is a thing called Greenlight that people can vote on a game that is submitted. I'd love to play this game on Steam, and I'm sure it will grab new people in considering some people are turned off by the fact it is a "mobile game" or a "Facebook game."

Just a thought. Have people asked the men in charge of Graal if this is a possibility or if this is something that they would consider? (I don't know who runs Graal anymore... Unixmad?)

Elk 12-29-2015 02:43 AM

wouldnt steam players need to be able to automatically log in with their steam id then?

Vicipower 12-29-2015 02:49 AM

This would get us even a bigger community on iClassic probably too!
>thats cool, thats cool, more nice People to Play with!
But the when the Server is already this broken with over 4.5k on daily...
>thats not as cool, no no, whos horrible idea was this.

We could get unixmad even more Money!
>thats cool, thats cool, we are such a caring community!!
iClassic makes over 50k a month and none of the developers get any money for their hard work (which they don't want atm ofc but srsly, who doesnt want to get paid for something they love doing).
>unixmad doesnt care about us, no no.

So I think since unixmad doesnt give us a groot Server upgrade hes obviously not going to add Graal to steam, but I can't blame him for that.

Hes busy making more games like "Adrenaline Pool Online" already.

Aguzo 12-29-2015 03:05 AM

No advertising graal, until the server gets upgraded, thank you.

Relic 12-29-2015 03:15 AM

No, Steam requires a certain standard of quality. Graal in its current state would be laughed out of Greenlight or any other method of having it put on/advertised on Steam.

Skyzer 12-29-2015 03:21 AM

Will never happen. Best to just forget about this idea to prevent future disappointment.

Eugeen 12-29-2015 03:40 AM

Yeah get more people and lets crash the servers daily, maybe then unixmad will care as he sees his income dropping

Thallen 12-29-2015 03:51 AM

obviously they could, small games like Continuum were able to, the management has no brain though

Hmm. Actually, not really, sadly enough. Have you seen some of the games on Greenlight? Although I'm not saying it would work. I myself quit 2+ years ago so that shows how much I like the game /s
Although I did sink a bunch of time into this game and still log in for a few minutes every 3 months or so.

Skyzer 12-29-2015 04:01 AM

The problem isn't Graal as a game. It's Graal's management.

No not really. There are plenty of games that require sign up or authentication after download that you can buy on Steam it is pretty normal.

Wolfie 12-29-2015 07:17 AM

if this happens, the server will crash lol. unless unix finally decides to upgrade it

Mio 12-29-2015 09:01 AM

Lets dp a riot lwts gremlight goos idea th3n we crush server then get fre updaig

Advent 12-29-2015 09:04 AM

No, it's Graal. Graal is a terrible, and I mean terrible example of a videogame. It's literally just a reskin of an old Zelda game with multiplayer on. Technology is advancing tremendously fast, and leaving behind worthleds 2D pixelated garbage.

With the amount of games out there, and the rising quality in games; I'll never touch this bogus game again.

Only reason I'm using the forums is because I like the community

Nintendo didn't sue Zelda Online. The name was changed because they didn't want to get sued.

No, they sued them. Look into it, they did.

+ little known fact:Graal is infamous on the internet. You tell someone you play Graal, you lost contact with that individual.

People HATE Graal if they even know about it.

Umm, I hate the game too, but it's those little connections you make that make the time you DID spend not a total waste of time. I enjoy the community too. That's sometimes all you need to have it a successful game. Plus, you know how little kids are nowadays, "retro" is cool to them.

I DO think that they should and could do a lot more with this game... It aggravates me how little content comes out and the quality of it. Sure, it's volunteer work, but no excuse. They should be investing more into it. They are lazy. I could think of so many things that would make this game worth playing and respectable.

Advent 12-29-2015 08:12 PM

literally I have moe true friends on graal then irl :'(

worthleds 2D pixelated garbage.

Shows how little you know. Not referring to Graal specifically, there's tons of great 2D "pixelated garbage" out there that's 10x better than the overdone reskins that are games like Battlefield, Call of Duty, etc. Judging a game based on its artstyle is idiotic at best.

jaxgraal 12-29-2015 09:50 PM

There are pros and cons. We'd get more players, but lag would be even worse.

That's like everything, there will always be flaws. This can be something we can prevent or not.For example in game.
We get hats>Players complain.
Host Holliday Events>Too much lag.

Wingedpandas 12-29-2015 11:02 PM

I think if this happenned for classic, it would have to happen to the other graal games aswell, especially Ol West. Lots of people love the idea of Ol West, but on computers, you can only acess it through facebook which causes less people to play it than other graal games. If it's on Steam, a lot more people would be able to play it. Also, the fact is, facebook is slowly dying, which stops growth of the Ol West community. There are many flaws with the things I just said, mainly because I crappily wrote this within a short span of time lol. So with that being said, judge this comment how you want

When you consider that for us to be even added to Steam, it'd require consciousness from the management... so the lag would probably already be fixed at that point
Not happening though

Lag would absolutely have to be fixed at that point, no probably. Regardless of the quality of some of the games that make it to Steam at the very least they're playable, even if the gameplay is garbage. Graal is REALLY only playable during off hours when player count is low.

Pharaoh 12-30-2015 12:24 AM

I doubt the playerbase would increase substantially so the cost of going through steam and all wouldn't be worth it. It would be more likely that the graal client used to connect to playerworlds/ mobile would become available before that happens.
