Christmas submission rage
 

Just a note before this, I'm not sorry at all for anything I'm about to say.
And I already know striken and his butt buddy livid are going to come circle jerk on my thread.

Whoever was deciding the submissions went full ****** when they approved 5/20 of my hats. And not only that, but they basically chose one hat and all its versions, claiming they were "recolors". THEN ONLY ADDED ME TWO. YET STRIKEN MAKES LIKE 6 UGLY ASS BOWS AND GETS EVERY SINGLE COLOR ADDED, AND MORE HATS. WTF!?

Then, they have the AUDACITY to accept some fugly ass hats nobody would probably want in a gift, over TEACUPDOLLY's AMAZING work. Are you ****ing serious?!
Oh, and let's not forget Elizabeth who made some bomb ass ****in hats and they pretty much all got accepted, yet they didn't add her the color variations either.

YET WHEN I MAKE 20 HATS, YALL CHOSE 5 DIFFERENTLY DECORATED BEANIES, SAY YOU CANT ADD "RECOLORS", GIVE ME TWO, THEN DO THE OPPOSITE FOR SOMEONE ELSE, AND **** OVER OTHER PEOPLE, IM MAD.

Another note is, don't set expectations. Expectations will either lead to disappointment or satisfied and the chances of being satisfied aren't high.

oh, thank you bebes ; u ; but yea, doesn't seem fair for some players to not get their hats that they submitted and were accepted... you can't treat one player more fairly than others who've done an equal amount of work or more.

All the beanies were accepted as separate hats, then Leah claimed they were all recolors, but they had different designs, and said she could only add me two.

Then striken got at least 5 lazy recolors of one ****ty hat, and even more hats he made.

Yeah I'm surprise that some of great gfx artist didn't got accepted, so I'm confused why tho cuz most of them fits in the hat categories.

But hey at least some of your hats that got rejected will be at the shops in the future (steal).. or them resubmitted it again next year.

So next time people, please submit at least 5 hats so that it won't happen again..

An almost identical butterfly hat is already on graal and the rest really lack shading so look a bit eh

People are always going to be disappointed wjth these things, you shouldn't assume your graphics are going to be accepted

A lot of (what you think are) bad hats might get through simply because of the category they were submitted as. Tough and smart probably have less submissions, so poorer hats might make it through. Wheras cute and cool has more competition, better hats might not make the cut

I totally agree with you Ivy. I saw the hats you submitted on instagram, they were adorable. Graal has to expand its horizons on Christmas hats. The ones I got last year were ****ty. What a shame. :/

I'm not on pc so I won't be able to for each one individually but some of them could use work on shading, the sun mask for example was pillow shaded(I think???). The sword could use more details as it looks plastic and not metallic.

I see a lot of pillowshading which is the main thing you need to work on
A little bit of room for improvement on the lineart as well

Also some of the ideas aren't that exciting, taking a random object (e.g. a camera) and putting it on a players hat doesn't make that great of a hat imo

Pillowshading is a nono.
Line art is kinda eh, it could be better on ones like the bowling pin.

Same happened to me lol, but I got like 1 hat last year. Worthless garbage.

yea, i really wanted my ears ; n ; and the butterfly wings aren't like the wings on graal, it's like the angel winglet hats that are on top of the head, but i agree, i try to keep it simple but it ends up plain looking most of the times, woops
