Any explanation of this server "update"?
 

Could any supervisor/admin explain what will happen after this update?

We're all hoping it's a server update, though I doubt that's the case.

Apparently, unixmad has been notified of the problem and is working on it. So that rules out a server upgrade.

Graal is down.

Unfortunately a grinch hacked and all gifts are gone. All players will have their gralats placed back onto their account, hopefully. The server is being rolled back to 12/15/2015 and downgrading server to hold up to 500 players max at a time (Yes 500). There will be a queue time going forward. Thank you everyone for your understanding and patience while Graal Management team diligently works to have the servers rolled back. Oh and SIKE/happy early April Fools! :giggle. Got you all!

At first I thought they were making all of the servers better but then I remembered how rediceless I sounded and now know its cause Unix doesn't know how to run a game.

The game servers weren't down. Graal doesn't just have servers for the games, they also have servers handling other duties. The server that authenticates your account was down, therefor it wouldn't let you log in since it couldn't verify your account. There is also the listserver which sends you the list of servers and handles cross-server communication. Listserver isn't important for the mobile servers though since you don't need to pick a server, therefor don't need to connect to it.
