It's not anime. Also, watch a few episodes, you might like it and see why there's hype for it. These days it's rare for a cartoon on Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network or Disney to have shows with such intricate storylines and plots, but they exist, and they're really good. Also the art and music for Steven Universe is really great. Lots of likeable characters too.

yes, to be honest i hated it the first few times i watched it, went back later and hated it less and less.

Fusion is looked down upon at Homeworld, so it's unlikely she's a fusion. We can assume these gems are unique/rare, which is why they're in charge. Yellow Diamond is very big which explains why everyone fears her.

It may be looked down upon but it might be possible, since we do not get any 360 view of the gems, Fusion is looked down by homeworld but it isn't really, Fusion of two different kinds are looked down by homeworld they view it as disgusting, As said in an Episode on Steven Bomb 4.

And also I have noticed that Lapis Lazuli said "Do you even know who I used to be?" which may be also a information that She was a fusion of Blue Diamond but was trapped in the mirror, You can also see the Paintings or Carving in one of this image.

Which might be the past "Diamonds" exception of Yellow Diamond since you see the image shown has no Gem in her forehead which might be another clue, Saying that Lapiz Lazuli was a fusion of the same kind of gem/class.

I don't think Lapis is/was Blue Diamond but I definitely think she was a high classed gem. Obviously gems that are rare/powerful have high class in Homeworld, and Lapis is shown to be very powerful. However, this may not be true as water may be non existent on Homeworld (shown in When It Rains where Peridot is unfamiliar with rain).

I guess White Diamond could be a fusion of the same kind of gem but I don't think that really makes sense in terms of the gem hierarchy. If that was the case then they could just fuse a bunch of Jaspers together and make a super powerful Jasper and call her 'Orange Diamond'.

When two or more of the same gem type fuse they just create a larger version of that gem, as shown when the three Rubies in The Answer fuse together. Therefore if White Diamond was a fusion it would only make sense if she was a fusion of two or more of the same gem, which doesn't make sense since on Homeworld, gem class seems to be entirely decided by how rare/powerful a gem is. Yellow Diamond is clearly in charge due to her immense size and possibly other powerful powers. I don't think there are many Yellow Diamonds walking around the streets of Homeworld.

I guess if they wanted to they could create a whole twist where Blue Diamond or White Diamond is a fusion of two different gems, but the thing is, this seems very out of character not only for the show itself, but for the writers and even Rebecca Sugar.

Yeah I know, lol. I definitely do think White Diamond is, however, more powerful than Yellow and Blue Diamond. She seems considerably larger in her mural, so we can assume that she is either a) very large and even taller than Yellow Diamond (who is already extremely tall when compared to Pearl), or b) whomever painted that mural made her larger to make her seem more powerful (which, in turn, supports the fact that she is highly looked up to).

The paintings in the mural is different with the three paintings on the moon base.

i agree a lot on how white diamond may be considered top ranked and all but theres also theories on how rose quartz's pearl may have been white diamond. we've already seen the two diamonds from the previous steven bomb & theres also a bunch of theories that rose is pink diamond but im pretty dute thats not true. both of the diamonds (yellow & blue) have their gems placed exactly where their pearls gems are. further into detail, each pearl is also has the same characteristics as their diamond such as their color. pearl isnt all white but again gems can change their form after being poofed and all. this might not be true so like dont attack me lmao and its not my own idea, ive been living on youtube vids of theories like this past week soooo heres a link explaining more details of what i just gave an overview of. cANT WAIT FOR THE SHOW TO COME BACKKANDNSNSNSJSJKSKA

Honestly Rose being Pink Diamond makes the most sense to me. Tbh I don't know why everyone calls it Pink Diamond though, it's not like anyone on the show has said it. I know the symbol refers to the Diamond Authority but I still don't think that was her name. She's a Quartz, not a diamond, but she is clearly powerful as she had both a sword and a shield and she also was able to lead an entire rebellion and win a war. I also believe Rose is the one who ordered for the Kindergartens to be built on the planet and when she saw what it was doing to the planet she rebelled against it.

Actually, if that's the case then Rose and Peridot are very similar actually. I'm sure Rose didn't just full out try to start a fight but instead tried to talk to Blue Diamond (the one in charge of the colonization of Earth) and tried to cease the colonization, but when Blue Diamond refused she rebelled, very similar to what Peridot did to Yellow Diamond.

i sort of agree, again i was stalking theories 24/7 this past week and some say that shes pink diamond when fused with another gem. if u look in "lion straight to video #3" or something like that, when steven enters lion's mane it shows a gem thats poofed in a bubble. ppl say that when rose fuses with it, it forms pink diamond. but again, theyre both diff gems and thats considered "digusting" as u & asaiki mentioned in "the answer". but again it is possible that the gem (bismuth) is simply just a strong creature gem that rose felt the need to keep in lions mane as mentioned in this vid http://youtu.be/WLB8L8g9R-M
