Give iEra people a chance...

I believe there should be auctions frequently and not 1-2 times a month, some people don't even have any event items, not even me.
When admins event items they should at least give others not to those who just pm as fast as they can to join an even in 5 seconds, some iDevices are slower than others..

Greengaw 09-04-2011 07:21 PM

yeah because since apple gave me the wrong iPod I have the 2nd Gen and I can only go to an event with 10 people or less or else it always crashes and I never win anything :(

snk 09-04-2011 07:22 PM

Old generation iOS can be strange... i admit.

When admins host, they use the events house

Yes, It would be good to see auctions more often.

They are several events, not every of them is pming as fast as you can, and the events in the Event House allow around 50 players to enter, which it is a lot and you have enough time to enter if you where there.

I highly doubt admins can do something about it, It is like someone who wants to play Minecraft on a netbook, runs slow and crappy, but its not developers fault, because the game by itself needs more power from the device to run properly.

Yumphod 09-04-2011 07:26 PM

No. That's just not the era way. It has existed for years and the people who are friends with staff, and the people who have time to spend 12 hours a day on it should always prosper. Deal widdit.

-Shy- 09-04-2011 07:28 PM

Snk the event house can be very laggy too, i cant go in when Admins host event because i have a high chance of crashing out of the app.

True, I agree.

I quote myself from the other post.

Since Era is an app made for iPods, iPhones, and iPad it should run on every generation of it not just one, it shouldn't be for the latest model it should run fluently on every device..

Yes it would be this way if they where all the same, but each iDevice have different characteristics.
Second generation if from 2008, you should thank that Graal runs in a relatively proper way.

I have a 2nd Gen, it ran so fluently when iEra was just at its few months of release, I dont know what had happen and now it lags so much, until you delete the app and get it again weekly.

More people came to play, means more lag for you, also this happens cause of the leak of RAM your device haves. (128MB).

All you can do its change your device.

or i can keep it up to date, well i might as well buy another ipod, but then i have to transfer accounts and that stuff. And a server update should come soon just to hold more people, just saying.

Snowbreeze 09-04-2011 08:08 PM

Getting an account transfer is not hard and the process its fast.

After the update you mentioned I guess you will keep getting similar problems.
Lets say your complains are similar to this: Its not fair for those who have 10 years old PCs why cant we cant run GTA IV on it.

or its more like saying that instead of repairing a road we should all just buy hover cars....

In this case, the road can not be repaired, as I said before, iEra is a game which needs a lot of power from the Device to run properly, actually there is nothing administrators can do about it, considering that the device is 3 years old and leaks a a lot of things (in specs terms) that make the game more enjoyable.

Is like trying to play Crysis 2 with an awful graphic card.

I'm hearing more of a, "OMFG this laptop I bought 3 years ago should run the latest version of everything perfectly!"

And by that I mean...I feel you, but sorry--it's not going to happen.

Higbey 09-05-2011 12:11 AM

well i know eventually that it will become outdated, but the ipod 3 isnt really that old, and since when you look at graals level of graphics and engine and special effects....its not exactly state of the art or look like something the ipod couldnt handle. i feel like it more to do with the game, im pretty sure there is stuff they can do about the crashes and lag. and latency

Niels 09-05-2011 12:18 AM

Do all events have player limits to them? I'm sure they don't...

They dont, but people use to crash a lot in Event Building because of the high ammounts of people that go there when some member of the staff announce that he will be hosting events.

It is not developers fault, just people with outdated devices keep compalining about it, without noticing that their device is kind of old.

We are talking about OP iPod, which is the 2nd Generation one that was released 3 years ago.

Higbey 09-05-2011 12:27 AM

id agree if wse where talking about old computers, like 7-20 year old computers. but these ipods are fairly new. 3rd generation isnt old, plus my 2nd gen can play 3d games and 1st person shooters. yet it struggles in rooms filled with people on graal.

3 Years is a lot considering that 3 years ago Devices used to have 128MB of RAM and now they have 512MB or even more, that is a huge improvement.

I dont know what you try to mean on your message, agree on what? It is a fact, we are talking about iPod 2nd Generation running Graal in a poor way.
