Working together toward a goal and not individual-based events.

Its a first I'm seeing this. Its great to see everyone working together to get the job done.

It will be an item that you purchase. However, I'm going to be making it very cheap (maybe even free if I can get away with it) so that it's easily accessible to the masses that put so much time in to it.

Can we get a list of the rewards from snow digging.

Am I the only one who thinks it is stupid you can trade snow balls. Everyone that is top is using their fame spot to get snow balls by others.

Other events you had to kill stuff on your account to get a score while this one is "Fame2Win"

No. It's entirely dumb, and would most definitely never be repeated. I didn't realize it was a thing until about two-thirds way through the event, and by then it wouldn't have changed much since the top 5 players were putting in a lot of time themselves as well.
Just have to change it next time so that the item in question can't be traded. I'll take that one on the chin as an "I didn't consider it an option in peoples minds."
Unless there was maybe a team based version. Idk. Brain is just throwing things together at this point, it's 6 am and I've not slept in a day.

There were 43 in total. Shiz made the entire Igloo, as well as the original Snowball Launcher. Slick had to edit the launcher last minute since we decided that it originally looked a little more like something Era would produce, or possibly slightly futuristic.

and Four Christmas themed hats.

I believe there won't be anything new added to the shovels beyond what's already in the drop table right now. Fairly sure that more than a few people have had their fair share by now of digging :P

The igloo is open and it contains the Holiday shop, as well as the Snowball Launcher. I'm sad I didn't grab a picture of when it had just opened. Then again, it would've been impossible to see many of the items for sale.



From a developer standpoint, the event could have gone off much smoother despite how much people may have liked it. For how close we were working to the deadline (*stares Shiz down*), it came together really nicely in the end. :D Still wish we'd gotten a 2-3 day timeframe to work.. :<

Though the event didn't pan out exactly how it was meant, it was still an overwhelming success. It would be nice to see gang related/team related events to come in the future.

Would be nice to see competitive content for players instead of staffmembers winning everything

What? They're aloud to compete? I thought the whole idea of the GFX battles is to get players who don't/can't apply to make content for the server. Seems counter-intuitive.

They cant compete. He just made that up. They can when they don't work with us anymore though.

These are admin, and they won gfx battle. You say they can compete when they are no longer part of staff but they were admins at the time of these events

They have no advantage to winning no more than a player does.

It all comes down to who donates more.

As for a GFX battle, there is a huge gap between a staff member and a player, which is why we don't allow it.

I love the snowball launcher. Makes me feel like I'm in era. Wish more guns could be like that

The rocket launcher looks unrealistic. The price doesn't matter as long as its not a ridiculous 100k+

I only cut wood and bash rocks and do the events. Nothing else. Game is fun for me

Staff shouldn't be able to win any player related event at all.
They already get paid and to fix it more they can simply get an item spawned in like every month or release (whatever sounds best).

I don't see how this solution would be a problem as I know for a fact that higher staff members play with spawned in items on their player accounts aswell and I don't see anyone complaining about that either.
