GIVE YOUR OPINIONS ON THE HATS THIS GST

I think the Mixed GST hats are better than the iDev hats by far

1. One of the hats is a GIF (bird)
2. Nicest looking (pirate)
3. You're in a hotdog

Compared to iDev

1. Some skinny purple crown
2. A fruit basket?
3. You're in a log

On a side note, we should have the winner of iDev and winner of Mixed face off for a hat.

Mixed got the better hats this time imo.

The food related items are nice, though I don't really think they fit as gst hats.
Gst hats should be different, badass or obnoxious, such as the huge log, bird, crown and pirate hat.
As nice as the food hats are I don't really think it's a fitting prize for winning a sparring tournament.

The hotdog is terrible. The other ones are good/okay!

Crown is my favorite. Next would have to be the blue pirate hat

Personally I think the fruit basket is great

Decent hats for Castle hat shop at 2.5k gralats...terrible hats for a gst.

Serious question, would you guys rather have smaller accessory - like hats? Like the clown nose or wings for example?

I much prefer the smaller ones. The over sized ones look pretty ridiculous to me and as cool as some of them are I don't think I'd wear them.

Those 2 in particular I personally love. I think a lot of the smaller hats are enjoyed by many sparrers because it makes them feel "faster" when they're actually on. Stuff like the electric wings, any kind of clown nose, and the propeller hat in the past all fit that kind of prize-esque feel while still being practical enough to wear often. I know those were hats from PC and you're trying to stray away from that, but those are just examples that come to mind.

I also do enjoy massive hats though, such as the pink cat or the massive brown hat from the previous GST.

At first look of this season, I thought to myself "man these suck again" but the longer I looked at it the more I liked most of them. I feel like I would wear nearly all of them, the exceptions being the purple crown and the hotdog (I'm sure the hot dog is either a love it or hate it kind of deal).

Fair enough, the graphics team aren't oblivious this (believe it or not!) I think it's just an experimental phase in regards to the hats. Sorry if they're not up to scratch this season :( we'll try and improve them next time

I like all of them, the log and the plastic Hotdog are something though!

Much, much, much better than oversized crowns and helmets. Big + in my opinion. Some of them may be a little big but at least they're not overworked garbage like we've seen before.

an experimental phase is better than just rinsing and repeating the same formula.
good thing, that staff are wanting to change and adapt, though I think some of the hats are unfitting for a GST prize-hat, the ideas are still good, as well as the execution.
A GST hat should have that professional and unique vibe, which is hard to imitate, since the wings have set kind of high standards, i believe.

I feel like the graphics team are gradually getting worse at making gst hats every gst

i feel like the players are gradually getting more critical. but im not gonna tell you how to play. that would be like you telling staff how do graphics, crazy lol

Many many sparrers prefer hats like wings, noses, masks, shoulder pads and crowns. Its a good idea.

So your not saying you don't like the graphics, but you don't like big hats? I think that's a different problem than "GFX getting worse".

nah the hats are actually just becoming exponentially worse with time, not gonna be nice and lie that some of the current gst hats are anywhere close to half-decent.

I've always considered the hats more like trophies. We want them to be unique so we feel like it's worth investing time for it. I don't understand why someone would want the 100th version of a wing hat, but if they do then that's fine.

The sparring community has said it 100 times now we don't like giant hats at all, the graphics are unique but it makes no sense for someone to win a log (idfc if its a tiki its a log) or a hotdog hat for winning a fighting tournament.

Because only having 1 ball is dissapointing

I don't really think we need the hat to be a trophy considering that we have a belt item and a statue already to show that off.

I still agree that they should be unique, but at the same time they should be comfortable to wear when you spar (spar-oriented? idk how to say it) since it's a spar tourney after all.

I know this was sarcasm but I'll just clarify for these gfx admins

I still don't understand why the belt is a 1 time thing why don't gfx admins make a unique belt for every gst that the winners keeps as well as the hat.
for example:
summer gst: a magma or lava like belt
winter gst: a icy or snow covered belt
fall gst: an orange leaf covered belt
spring gst: a belt covered in green leaves and melted snow

Make a variety of hats, not all big, colourful and fun hats lol

that's an interesting idea I never thought of that.
But that's just more work for the graphics team, and the game isn't all about GST even though us sparrers know so.
Screw it let's have custom statues while we're at it too.

All I'm trying to say is that for the past 4 gsts the hats have been all the same.
big, bulky and just weird. What happened to having a hat that you can proudly wear I mean look at the Alumni guys for example how often do you see them wearing one of their gst hats? Lately its been quantity > quality and its starting to get ridiculous.
Of course we all understand you have Christmas hats, juggles, mounts and food to make but when you dish up some weird creation that does not suit the theme (gst) as well as being way to big no ones going to wear it.

I mean how does a hotdog, log, bird or fruit bowl even relate to sparring? Let alone work well with it. It is just really weird and awkward to move around while sparring, wearing a giant hat.
