Era Mall, located South-West of the map. When you enter, go up to the fountain and walk left from there (you should arrive in another level). Enter the place that has the Pimpsy's Burgers sign :)

I've always wanted to ask you, what are you planning on doing/are already doing as a career? You are an excellent artist, so I hope that doesn't go to waste.

SammyPs 02-03-2016 07:08 PM

i know right... This work is great.

Albie 02-03-2016 10:19 PM

Looks really nice, though maybe try and give him more of a neck?

Pimpsy G. 02-12-2016 10:42 PM

Working on the nitty gritty details of saitama in mudbox, then i'll transfer them to the basic geometry with a normal map so that the resolution isn't too high.

I'm in college trying to do something 3D related, preferably modeling and texturing.

Shurikan 02-13-2016 03:32 AM

Dude this is fantastic! I plan to attend college for animation and concept design so seeing your work is super inspirational. Keep making great stuff, its giving me the encouragement to keep working hard!

Pimpsy G. 02-14-2016 01:31 AM

Making progress, got around to sculpting all the little anatomical details in mudbox. Not done yet (still have to add fine textures and make it look like he's actually wearing clothes by adding folds and such). I decided to just do the basic shape in maya, sculpt the fine details in mudbox, and then apply them to the model with a normal map since this is for a portfolio so i want the mesh flow to be easily visible.

Thanks! Good luck, I bet you'll go far! Your stuff is awesome. I could easily see you becoming a great concept artist.

Your Steven Universe Art looks official, like it was used in one of the episodes. You did a good job on it.

WHAAAAAT!?! DOGCOPTER THREE ON DVD!?!!? THIS IS BETTER THAN COOKIE CAT COMING BACK!

Pimpsy G. 02-21-2016 01:41 AM

More progress, getting close! I just need to tweak some things and pose it now

Finished saitama. Any tips? Criticisms?

Tip: make a naked version ;)

Also, the crotch area looks kind of odd. Shouldn't it be be bulging out a bit, considering that saitama is an umm... One punch man

BADUM TISS

Shurikan 02-29-2016 09:26 PM

Wow man this is freaking awesome. I got so inspired just looking at it. I love the flow of the cape, it just looks so fluid.

This is hard to critic because its honestly above my level of expertise with 3D design at this point. However from an 2D design perspective and with figure drawing it would be interesting if you gave the hips and shoulders a bit of tilt. (Nothing too serious just enough to offset the perfect alignment just a tad)

For the hips:
The foot that is planted on the ground would shift the hip on that side up a bit, while the other side sagged down.

For the shoulders:
The shoulder above the planted leg and raised hip will be a bit lower than the other shoulder.

I know you are probably super busy but if you have time to try and changes I think this would be interesting. I have attached a reference (more exaggerated than you will probably want.) to help you visualize my words if what I am typing is complete rubbish. Great work dude, very impressive.

Thanks so much! This is for a portfolio so I want it to be as good as possible so I spent a lot of time on it lol. That's actually a really good idea and I compeltley forgot about angling the hips and shoulders. I should easily be able to do that.

Yeah someone else told me that but i cant see whats wrong and it looks fine to me so i dont really know if i can figure out whats throwing people off

Ivy 03-09-2016 09:05 PM

The eyes look perfectly fine to me

KristenGW 03-09-2016 09:10 PM

I think the reason that the eyes bug people is that the rest of the figure has lots of shading (which looks great) but the eyes are just white with black dots, kind of making them seem plain. Sorry if that doesn't make sense

For me, its the lack of eyebrows.

I think its just that anime faces don't translate well into 3D. Even with most video games they use a 2D texture thats basically straight out of the show for the eyes. I think I might have to do something like that. I've worked on this for too long though so I'll fix that later.

Pimpsy G. 03-23-2016 04:37 AM

Got the basic shape done. I'm probably gonna tweak some stuff and then I'll work on the textures, the fur, and posing it. That'll take a while though.
