The Minecraft Hunger Games Arena is under construction and the games themselves will soon be held.

The games will be hosted on a different server so that the gamemakers have ultimate control, but this server will be always closed except for when the game is taking place so that it does not interfere with the main Graalians server.

For those who are not aware, the Hunger Games are basically a giant fight to the death. Many particpants will be locked in an arena rigged with traps, and the last player standing will be crowned the victor. Good luck to all, and may the odds be ever in your favor.

I want to participate.

Please do! If you want to participate just post your username in this thread. The more players there are, the more fun it will be. About 15-20 players signing up is anticipated.

I want to watch.

The entire event will be filmed (with possible commentary). There are also plans to set up a radio host somewhere for the commentators to speak live and inform the players of deaths, etc. (This will also be mirrored in player chat.)

How can I prepare?

The arena will be a mystery biome that will not be revealed until the start of the games. Players should be ready to operate, quickly build shelters, and know how to quickly craft a variety of different items / weapons in each biome on Minecraft.

Tips for playing?

• At the center of the arena is a golden Cornucopia that holds items valuable and essential to the game. Decide beforehand if you want to fight for the item or flee into hiding.
• There will be lots of traps all over the arena, so it is recommended that players look out for and avoid any buttons, pressure pads, or switches.
• Be ready to avoid up to hundreds of mobs at night. Seek high ground that mobs can not reach.

When will the games be held?

Only problem I see. Everyones gonna hide deep underground in a little hole and wait till everyone exploring ad fighting dies.

Also, what happens if you escape the arena lol? I can imagine someone making a portal to the nether and escaping XD.

Higbey, nether can be turned off.

Also, people would just be able to see your name plate..

Does this mean we cant work on the movie with the people that are registered in the games until the games are done so that they can't see the finished arena?

There's TNT hidden in the arena in mysterious places. So hide in a hole and wait for someone to light TNT above you. :D

I also expect people to be certain wolves at some points.

There's lots of wolves, plus Chaotic and I installed a cannon.
