So Classic, When is that new town coming out?
Lol you guys said it'd be out in september. Idk if you guys realize, but its january now.
|
No, really? I don't know what new town you're talking about unless it's York Town.
|
All I know is that it says on the App page in the App Store "New town: Deadwood" and Deadwood is over a year old.
And no towns have been released since then, nor nearly enough levels for a whole year coming from the levels team of the most populated server on Graal. |
Good content != New Town
Would rather have the first. A town generally gets visited visited for a few days and then the activity is limited to when something is going on in that town. Content above all, and maybe there needs to be a new town to facilitate it, but I don't think so. The world is large and empty enough as it is. |
We just need to bring North Graal City to life lol
|
if i can find the thread where azrael said a halfyear ago that a new area would be soon out with events...
...meaby he can tell us now whats going on? |

classic needs to cut back on GPs and hire more LATs and NATs.

If anyone is actually good at levels and has a good attitude, speak to Azrael. We would LOVE people to make levels for us.

With Pleasure;)

I'm always looking for good LATs. The problem is, I never seem to find them :).
There is something in the works. It took a back seat for Christmas and we've run into a couple walls but we are currently scaling them and will be on the other side soon. Also I took a much-needed Graal Haitus (and will continue to do so until tomorrow). The longer I stay around here without a break, the less and less work I'll do. Everyone needs a rest sometimes :). |

then he'd be spammed with emails and have to spend more time reading apps/viewing levels then making levels.

true.

It's probably because everyone knows getting in a staff guild and being friends with the leader is a easier than learning how to be a good lat.

I applied for a LAT several times. Never responded. Own dem fault.

Some are text files with descriptions of the level. Higbey, you know I don't know anyone in the game beside you. I don't even know my own Zanza family mates. Ask them when the last time was that I got on tag. I bet you they can't remember. |

I wasn't referring to you when I was talking about the hiring in staff guilds. I'm not really in the loop now that I hardly get on anymore, plus it seems most the new staff arent interested in making graal facebooks lol |
So Azrael, now that we are all here. I was wondering, what would you say about making me a trial LAT? Here is one of my recent levels. *Also sorry for getting angry at you guys for not reading my emails, I guess there's a lot to sort through.

Well if they get so bogged down, maybe I'm better off posting it here.
|
No mushrooms in the middle of the level? Got my vote! Oh wait, you used grass-over-grass tiles, I hate those sry.
|
It's a forest, give me a break! C'mon Rufus, it's a beat down trail. Not a dirt trail, it's still got plants on it, but it's used more causing it to erode!
|
The tileset really makes those grass over grass ones look stupid. It looks like a cartoony cloud of green.
I should try the tileset editor, the offline editor, again. Its been so long since I last tried to make a level. But to get the offline editor that would require redownloading the graal program for Mac again. |
Being good at levels doesn't happen overnight unfortunately. Takes a lot of practice and frustration. But if you get better at it let Azrael know.

Releasing a new town still stirs the pot a little and its fun seeing a new area. It'd be a sight for sore eyes..minor alterations to Snow Town and small add on to Deadwood doesnt supplement a new town :/ And also about North Graal, its so underpopulated because its boring and generic in terms of visuals and also there are no shops up there, we never have Revolution partys anymore, and CTF is dead with lost potential.. |

Just make a page that you'r hiring lats and Tell them what they have to do like a inside level and outside level what it should have,... Than they have to send the finish work to you (.nw file) and ask them a few question from the game, lating,... Quote:
and he is realy nice and helping and more online to work and help newbies :) |
Idea have a lat contest and hire who makes the best levels. Then you will find some good Lat's.

What would you add to a new town that just got developed? a new tower and a hat shop? that doesn't seem much fun to me |
It's amazing how compressed over 1,000 Graal players can be. I remember when Classic had ~300 at it's peak the minimap would be covered with players.
I suppose when the real content is compressed to about 1 level that happens though. ^_~ |
Okay then instead of expanding classic make different maps? Like sub ones from the main map.
|
maybe ill try to get back in my LATing game...not to get hired lol i doubt id be good enough for that, or that id even have time for that but just for fun.

Its a win-wi somewhat related: I still have hope for CTF, I say remove one of the useless buildings in Graal City and replace it with the CTF house and you might actually see people in there playing. It sure as hell isn't attracting anyone a trip to the isolated butthole of the map, that is North(way North) Graal, to play. If I was just wandering around, like a lot of people do in Graal City, I might find myself walking in to play a round, but is anyone going to go all the way to North Graal to play because they're bored? No. -Sorry I went off on a tangent here :p |
Ctf <3 it should be in battle arena and maybe with more maps to choose
