Farming Crops
 

I really want to grow some crops. It was something cool Delteria had on it's server. You should be able to harvest carrots, wheat, and corn. Seems like a peaceful type of way to spend your time in the game.

Step 1. Buy seeds from a store
Step 2. Dig with shovel
Step 3. Plant seed
Step 4. Close with shovel
Step 5. Wait (Depends on crop, can take hours to be ready for harvesting)
Step 6. Harvest once timer reaches 0:00

You can sell the crops you harvested at the store, or ask them to cook the crops, so that you can use as food for later.

But where do you get the water source from?

You could get a bucket, then fill it up with water from the river.

Yes or maybe a bottle filled with water from the shore.

The firemen near by have water.

Yeah, but I was thinking of a Garden Shop having the tools for you to use.

This may be stupid but, I was thinking in the,'housing section' you could have a garden which could be like a green house. You could catch bugs and show them off there by placing them on shelves or setting them free.Also you would be able to grown all of your goods there too.

Sounds cool, but I was just thinking of ways to get people to explore more areas, and use the land instead of everything be in one place.

If you really want to go all in, have the crops spoil after a certain amount of time. Like 6 hours after the harvest timer goes off you'll have to collect them(although this is used a lot in other apps, but it is just an idea). You could also have some sort of "fresh" crop, as in you collected it minutes after the timer went off.

Totally forgot to add that when I wrote it down, but yeah "fresh" idea sounds cool. Probably sell better/worse depending on how fresh the crop is. If it's 1 week past harvesting, sell for 1g :D

Why farm crops when I can farm gralats directly? and with ****ing bombs instead of water

Who said it was being removed?

Maybe the crops would get bigger over time, and hence would increase in value, encouraging players to store them to eventually get a bigger reward in time.

This doesn't make sense seeing as you have to farm gralats already

Yes... that's how farming crops work. They grow.

Unless you meant that they grow after they've been harvested. Which, in that case, no.

What? This is at Destiny. It's just an option to give that patch of dirt something useful. Farming gralats will still stay the same. This would just be an alternate like looting, and bug catching.

Not farmville, more like a Harvest Moon.

I like how they used the Destiny, and Belle soil areas as pumpkin patches for Halloween. Something similar for casual farming would be great.
