New bug event
 

Was this a one time thing, or is this what we should be expecting from events in the future?

Mind explaining what the event is about or what you do in it? Proof of it? Kinda confused...

how is it hosted? queue or anyone can participate?
whats the goal to win the event?

It was hosted by Dusty.
The event was who could catch the most bugs server-wide over 5 minutes.
A special bug catching hat was the reward.

Do you know who won (Ingame name/guild)? Sound very fun tbh.

It's a new event Dusty made. He's only hosted 2 so far and he'll probably be the only one to ever host it.

It's not queued, anyone can participate. Basically what Areo said, whoever catches the most bugs in 5 minutes wins. It doesn't matter what kind of bug you catch and bugs in your house don't count. It's pretty kewl.

Is it like 1 bug = 1 point or literally if I catch 40+ worms in under 5 min, I win?

Aw, I'm bummed that i missed this. But still, I love it. Methinks that's why all the bugs in the game were "removed" earlier. So they'd all respawn and everything would be on even ground. I knew there was something going on! Wish I stayed on a little longer.

I absolutely love stuff like this, and hope to see more of it in the future. A lot of admins have left and admin events are definitely nowhere near as common as they used to be. And given the increased playerbase, they should be mush more frequent. (I know this particular event was something special, and not a regular admin event; PERHAPS this 5-min "who can catch the most bugs" thing can become a semi-regular admin event along the lines of buried treasure and hide & seek?)

so worms count too right? I am pretty sure i caught at least 10 worms or more during that 5 min but I think it didn't count.

If you didn't win that means someone else caught more bugs. And yes any bugs count. (Not bugs that are in houses/Gh)

Worms were not counting, but they are now(subject to change).

Should have said "They should!" but at the moment it was a bit chaotic so I didn't have time to check.

Has anybody noticed that the nexus sign changed on August 7th. Nexus may be coming soon ^_^
