Let's have a mall in game!

Instead of spreading shops everywhere around the map and making me waste my time travelling, I think there should be some kind of mall in graal that has stores with everything in it. Just an idea that's all, same way they brought spar and gs in one building bring stores in one store!

twilit 07-26-2015 12:33 AM

no.

yes.

Areo 07-26-2015 12:40 AM

Terrible idea. Whats the point of having a huge map if it was filled with nothing? There are hats and furniture shops in different places to give reason to go to those places.
If there wasn't a hat and furniture shop in snow town what would the point of going there really be? That is not even taking into account the history of the game.

The guild spar arena was moved for a variety of reasons, and is a bad example seeing as it's an activity, as opposed to something visited fairly infrequently such as a hat shop.

SouthernZombie* 07-26-2015 12:42 AM

Maybe a grocery store? (Sell food items)

Marouke 07-26-2015 12:43 AM

Lol areo my purpose of having one building for this is we could delete some building in game to just fields of the same graphic which logically should be less laggy for the server!

Areo 07-26-2015 12:55 AM

Guess I have to repeat myself.

1. You can't just rip away shops around the map for the only reason being "Inconvenience".
2. Destroying these shopping and allocating the hats into one central building would leave much of the map barren and without purpose.
3. These buildings don't cause much lag anyway, deleting them for lag is a moot point.
4. There is also history to many of these shops, which is valued.

Livid 07-26-2015 01:16 AM

LOL wtf? Mate classic has some weird **** okay, but a damn mall? Just... no, the grocery store thats okay but stfu with the mall.

Marouke 07-26-2015 01:36 AM

I personaly think a mall would attract all the graal city noobs to go there (cool hangout spot instead of graal city) and if the mall had it's own server we could at least walk around the game and not have a frozen screen everytime we pass through graal city!

SouthernZombie* 07-26-2015 01:37 AM

I just thought that a grocery store would be more "classic themed" than the mall that would go with zone and era.No need for an extra server just for a mall...

Seems like all the threads you've posted indirectly imply your motive is to turn classic into something more like Era. An issue that really bugs me about this idea is that a 'mall' or outlet would be out of theme, the closest thing to that could be a marketplace or a bazaar but we already have those in Destiny. It'd also, like Aero stated; bring up new empty places in the map that would force the developers to add something there again to replace/balance the concentration of buildings/places in a single area. Seems like a fruitless idea if you ask me.

A Grocery Store would be cool if it wasn't really a Grocery Store, like if it was more a bunch of vendors where NPCS sold foods like apples or vegetables but really no use for that since food skins aren't the kind of aesthetic that people would buy. It just seems pointless because they're consumables... I have mutual feeling for things like consumable fireworks and sparklers as well.

Brick 07-26-2015 01:41 AM

Let's take all of the cool attractions around the map and put them all in one spot! I nominate graal city. That way people would never have a reason to leave!
sarcasm obviously

Ivy 07-26-2015 01:41 AM

A grocery store would be awesome if we could buy a good variety of food lol

Aguzo 07-26-2015 01:55 AM

The mall idea, no.

A marketplace would be cool.

Hamburgers heal 1 hp, from what I remember.
Maybe trade 3 hamburgers for an item that gives you 2 hp once you consume. Like a Golden Apple.
That way you pay triple the amount for 2x the effect, but only this npc can give it to you.

IkeVoss 07-26-2015 02:56 AM

Golden burger.

Sardon 07-26-2015 03:37 AM

Please stop posting shallow and unsustained ideas in multiple threads, put some time into one idea, then post it. You don't even stop to consider the negative effects.

Papi 07-27-2015 01:15 AM

Im pretty sure the lag issue due to many plaers being close on the ssme level at once would also discourave exploration. Its like taking the trash out of the garbage can and putting it in another area to get rid of the smell there. The smell just moves and never gets fixed.

Removing levels to suit your lazy ineptitude isn't an idea; adding a "mall" to a medieval game as mentioned is nauseating. Reducing emphasis on travel is a huuuuuuge step in sustaining longterm boredom and failure. Creating deadzones is utterly insensible and irresponsible. Adding more stores isnt an idea. Dishonoring the classic world is selfish. Diminishing the world doesn't improve lag, it increases it; lag is a clutter issue not an overabundance of content and space.

Exactly.

The game is a mall anyway.

Just saying but... MERICA!
Now to be serious, I'll explain briefly why this will never happen:
1.Most parts of the map will become ghost town(Worst than right now)
2.The history behind some of these buildings are of an important value
3.You can't just take out parts of the map just like that
4.Putting everything in one area would actually cause much more lag
5.This situation isn't like the spar and guild spar being merged, they were merged for a couple of reason including the fact that the if I remember correctly during GST the gs arena was under the spar arena anyway so it didn't make sense to actually make a room under the arena with a purpose 2 times a year.
6.I ran out of idea so I'll simply add a NO.

Conquest 07-27-2015 02:50 AM

Actually I'd like a Starbucks and Hollywood if we're being cheesy while we're at it.

... And can we just put a priest in the middle of Graal City, a block of bushes, a bed, some pots, a pool, a chair, and a vending machine?

I'm not too fond of the mall or grocery shop idea. You can tell certain places on the map were built for the hats like snow town and oasis for household items, hats, animals, and food which can only be found there. Take that away and put all hats in one big mall in graal city takes away the purpose of the other places on the map granted, most places do have a tower still. And let's expand the topic. Since its a mall, how about we get mounts, and morphs, and food too?

Really? Medieval game? Ball caps, 4th of july, canada, galaxy cloth wear, pizza, burgers, hot dogs? And there's much more to the list. I'm not even sure if you play graal online classic.

None of these things fit Graal, and I didn't like it when people started adding them in 2000 and I don't like it now.

I'm still not buying the while medieval theme. The only thing closed to it is a medival hat they have in the game. Instead of sparring, where's the jousting? And why do we spar with swords? We should do fencing. And your post brings me back to my first post about the stuff that wasnt there in medieval times. For real, did you really play the game?

Actually this was a zelda based game, it was called Zelda online until they get sued for copyrights. They then recalled it Graal Online Classic
With time comes innovation, with innovation comes improvement and with improvement comes great waste of gralats on such things as food items such as hamburgers.
Future may be doomed as we speak.
I hope you didn't take all of this seriously.

No. I managed the game when it first came out and developed a ton of what you see. But I never played. I just imagined playing because hitting arrow keys is toooo difficult!!

Some things are excusable, but burgers, pizzas, deep friers, tennis, pool tables, and please not a mall YUUUCK!!!!

Mount 07-27-2015 03:15 AM
