Albion Online-Sandbox PVP MMO(PC, iPad, Android Tablet)
 

Albion Online is a Sandbox Full Loot PVP MMO. When you die in Albion, your chracter is lootable and you can steal what they have on them(kinda like pvp in minecraft). This adds a sense of fear to the world.

Quick update with my first impressions:

-Combat is extremely dull. Auto target, auto attack based with a few spells, you could literally start a fight with a mob, look away, and still win the fight.

-Destiny board progression is really cool, provides a lot of ways to progress yourself

-Really cool sandbox features like guild territory claiming, land ownership, personal private islands, etc.

Overall opinion:

Albion Online is a niche title. If you're looking for an exciting story, challenging PVE, or fast paced pvp, it isn't for you.

But if you're looking for a sandbox MMO based on a meaningful world you can dominate, it's hella fun. The full loot PVP and crafting economy reminds me of playing Minecraft online.

If you like the idea of player crafting and world domination, I'd definitely try it out at the f2p launch. I'll make a guild that everyone can join.

I heard of this game months ago, can't wait until I can try it. Hopefully they offer more avatar customization (gotta stay fabulous)

I believe it's paid on PC only atm and yes it'll be f2p.

It's in alpha and you need to buy the $50 founder's pack to get in, it'll be f2p at launch.

Honestly, you're best off just waiting until the f2p launch.

Looks pretty interesting.

However roguelike MMOs are a little too tough as nails for my taste and the PVP doesn't look too appealing at the moment.

I suppose I'll keep an eye on this for the time being.

Is this game worth it still? Thinking of picking it up.

Not really IMO. Still in closed beta, delayed over and over, won't be f2p at least at first

The closed beta is pretty much dead at this point.
Logged in 2 weeks ago to see how things were and only found around 6 people in each town compared to the old 30-100

I tried it on meh terbloot, it kept crashing on me, though. .-.

Albion Online was a pretty big disappointment IMO. Biggest reason being that it's not solo-player friendly. I don't have friends that want to play MMOs with me, nor do I want to play with strangers.

Killing 20 of a mob in an hour for a quest doesn't sound difficult until you realize they only spawn in one small location and your competing with 20 other people for the four or five mobs that spawn. The quests have ****ing time limits and I can barely make them because I can only get a couple mobs in a dungeon every 10 minutes because the respawn timers are obnoxiously long and large parties deny you the chance of getting them. Why the **** are there only two different channels for dungeons? Why can't I have my own ****ing instance so I don't have to try and steal mobs from parties of people farming the dungeons just so I can finish my quests?
