A System That Can Probably Reduce A MAJOR Amount of Lag
Okay, so this isn't really my idea, but I've seen it on other games.
Instead of having 3k+ players on one server, how about make multiple servers to connect to? Like sub-servers. If one server has too many players and is too laggy, we can go to a different server where there's less players and it's less laggy? Maps and stuff will be the same, nothing changes. Just on a different server, like a different client or something idk. The lag on Classic is INSANE, where you freeze every few seconds. Since this server can barely hold 3k players, I say this is a pretty good idea. Games like Order and Chaos, League of Legends (not sure about this one), Elder Scroll Online, and I think World of Warcraft has it. Anyway, ya. That's "my" idea. I have a feeling this is the wrong sub-forum to put this into. If I am wrong, mods. Please don't close it, but just kindly move it to the correct sub-forum. :) |
If you're freezing that much, then delete and install it. I was getting freeze frames like every four seconds.

For me, It is not good for that I wouldn't learn the culture of other country men. Some poeple just want servers of classic because they wanted to be alone and get gralats for farming in grotto/Get hours to a tower. So do you think this is a possibility? If yes it should've been done before 2014. Just my opinion emoji strong.

Not just that, walking into Graal City or into a fort cause a major framerate decrease. Not really enjoying that. |
Brought up already, answer was no.

But maybe only focus on towering on 2 "main" sub-servers? Like, don't put towers on other sub-servers, but only put it on 2. So the main focus on those servers is towering? Quote:
Would love to see what people thought of this idea. |

Nobody on this forum has any say on something like that. They can fix stuff and add content, but something like this can only be done by the ownership. |

It has been suggested before but as usual...it was ignored.
|
Make the switch to PC people, a game made for PC needs a PC.
|
The lag and frame rate are significantly improved on pc for me.
|
The freezing issue has nothing to do with server capacity. It starts appearing frequently when your device caches a lot ot images.

Really? :( None of the users on here agrees with this idea? Oh well, I guess I can do nothing about that :( Quote:

I have played classic on an iPad, iPod 4th gen, and kindle fire and I got the low framerate and screen freezing on all three. On PC I have a little bit higher ping, but the game runs very smoothly, no freezes or fps issues.

The multiple server idea is good to reduce lag. But it would definitely cripple gameplay. For example:
I can go on and on. |

2. Idea: If a player kill another player 5 or 10 times, make it so kills won't add after that? (Use IP to track noob accounts? If the noob account is using the same IP as the person who was killed 10 times, the kills won't count for the same person trying to kill?) 3. Look back at number 1. 4. Events messages will be cross-servers? Once the staff sent out the event message, it goes out to all servers? |
Oh man, how have we never thought of this?!?!?!?!??!?!?!!?!!

Why not just UPGRADE the one server we have? or just play on PC where there is no freezing ever? :0 |
I'd love if they added servers with little clever names to them, like "Server Taylor Richaards", OR servers that are named after the top guilds
|
Wouldn't work cuz what the hell would they do about cross server towering ... Like what if a guild on server one had a tower and some guild members from the same guild went on server two and took a tower... Would it still be double hours since it's not on one server??? Confusing

First guild to 50,000 hours gets their own server only only they can enter.

you make this sound like it's so easy though
it's like saying "if your house has bad insulation, just buy a new one" |
Quote:
Yes, you may look at this that way, but in this case, it's more like renting an apartment to wait for your house to finish the construction. You can always go back on the server you like, your "main" server when less players are on it. Quote:

Hmm, if IP doesn't work, then check accounts linking? If this noob account is linked to the account that was killed, again, kills won't add. Maybe add IP tracker to each server? Not just 1 IP tracker managing all servers? :l I know what I'm doing is probably useless and will not be added to the game, but better then not trying :l Upgrade the one server we have? How so? Not all have a PC. Just because you have a PC doesn't mean everyone else can get it. :l Quote:

switch to pc. making the switch to pc at 4k wins was the best decision I ever made

Can we get the zoom on iPhone 6 fixed first?!

Easiest thing to do with most of these arguments is present the idea that people are required to commit to one server instance. The majority of server-wide instanced games do this. The only issues with an idea like this are short term.

It's bugging me. While you're at it add pixelated view to the iPhone 6 as well. |
Without reading any posts in this thread besides the initial post, I can tell you that the reason this is happening is because the owner of graal has zero development abilities himself, he was entirely reliant on stefan to maintain the engine, and now that stefan has departed, so has any progress on graal. There will be no improvements to the servers, tools or client unless unixmad decides to invest money into bringing on another engine developer, and as it currently stands he has expressed no interest in doing so.

IT WORKS FINE ON EVERY OTHER SERVER. WHY NOT JUST KINDLY ASK ZONE (they have the best system imo) FOR THEIR SCRIPT. THEY HAD NO PROBLEMS SINCE THE IPHONE 6 WAS EVEN RELEASED. YET CLASSIC IS HALFWAY THROUGH 2015 AND STILL HASNT FIXED THIS **** |
