We need a system for scammers

Can you explain more exactly what happend? And this system you want is already added to Graal, its called ´reporting´

Scamming is legal. Its your own fault for falling for their tricks and inside your house.

Yea but no one should be trying to scam.
The report system is good but its not quick.

Scammers are generally lazy trolls and should be banned forever. (honest opinion)

Scamming isn't bannable, however I was banned for it anyways even though I wasn't scamming. I was bored so i said " free farmer" in graal city so they decided to warn me and ban me. I tried to pm the admin back but he had friends only on...

Anyways they need to fire Julius because he can hardly speak English, and he bans people for things that aren't against the rules, even when they aren't being done.

Why would classic hire someone who can barely speak the language used by well over half classic's population?

He can speaking it enough for others peoples to understanding, but its so broken i have to have to stopped to think of what hes say

I think scamming is not such a bad thing, people should realize when others try to scam. Just NEVER say yes if someone asks you for rare items, gangs and such; it's simple.

Its pritty easy to recognise scammers, If the word "free" is in the sentence, there scammers.

Or if they have the word scam in the sentence. I have actually seen people go around saying "scamming/hacking people 4 free/10 shells.

Didn't read the majority of this thread due to it probably being stupid.

However, we will not be firing Julius for "not speaking English." Julius speaks English well and we have players from many different countries that speak..different language. Who would'a guessed it?

What I want to know is who is giving all these bogus harsh bans? I feel Julius is getting the blame for all this and because the ban screen doesn't say who banned you I can't tell who banned who, so a bunch of the people hanging up on Julius may have been given that bogus/harsh ban by a different staff. As for what happened to Rufus, I can understand, but the way he reacted to being called a moron was still a bit too harsh...

I think the reason he gets blamed for it is Julius chooses to pm players "Please do not _____" etc so people automatically point fingers and rage towards him because they feel he's the one they have communicated with in the past. I personally don't like pming every single players because in the past it has just lead to endless feedback of threats and harassment towards my name. I prefer it to be anonymous. It's not a rule whether we have to or not. Julius likes to do that and as a result you'll see a bunch of people complain via facebook because they know who did it. What they don't know is all of us are pretty much immune to the constant complaining. It doesn't lead to anything. It never has. We're still here. HI!

I don't have access to this, but there are records that show what a staffmember is doing at all times (this includes drags, movement, pming, bans, unsticks, disconnects, etc, etc) so it's SUPER easy to tell if a staff member is being abusive. It has happened and BELIEVE ME if a staffmember messes up we will not give them a warning. Whenever I bring someone I warn them about a millions times what NOT to do. I'd like to think I'm pretty strict on that. So Higbey you're in good hands.

I took your advice and looked at some of the bans... Oddly none of them were bogus so again I'll have to go to my previous hypothesis that it's just people complaining. You've played long enough to realize people just get upset when they are banned and want others to feel their pain of not being able to play their little game. Then there's other players like you who love to get our attention. An interesting example is Jamesjaames. I love the guy but he recently admitted that he lied about being banned in his Bushtown prank to stir up drama. Take that into consideration. Gossip is gossip.



I feel I should touch on the original topic:

Scammers will scam. It's up to the player to decide who to trust in the game. That's kind of the beauty of it. If a scammer scams an account, that's a different story. Contact us immediately.

BTW tip... if someone asks you for your udid, simple say "I will not give you my udid" Try it next time.

Okay, where's the proof basi and Nadine both used a cheat engine?

It pops up in our RC if anyone is messing with their account. Maybe cheat engine isn't the right word since there are so many ways someone can alter their account. We wouldn't just ban for the fun of it. Why would we waste time doing that? It's stupid.

I'm more thinking if it was for revenge. Sadly some staff use there power to punish players simply because they don't like them. This is most likely not the case because as far as I know Julius didn't know Nadine or Basi, and most of the time when using a ban to punish a player they don't like they use "harrassing a staff member" as the reason.

Perhaps more specific reasons are needed, or they could try contacting the player to make sure it's not just a error.

Rules in Graal only serve as a guideline, staff all have a good dose of common sense too to go with it.

Just because scamming is not explicitly prohibited in writing doesn't make it any more acceptable. My belief is that any action that defrauds or otherwise deceives another player and makes them lose something without their express consent or knowing for the gain of the scammer should be punishable.

This includes things like offering to farm but stealing gralats instead, or offering trades but not upholding your side of the deal when the other person has.

And that's the minor types of scams.

I have seen players openly scamming other players for private information, and thinking they're safe to do so.

I once caught a player in the act of asking a lot of other players for their Device ID numbers and iTunes login information. When warned, he replied "scamming isn't against the rules, u can't ban me, dumb***".

Normally, I would have just issued a simple warning for this, but the scammer's attitude and the fact that he had already obtained login data landed him a month-long IP-ban.

We get a lot of messages from scam victims asking to recover their lost items, but the important thing is that staff cannot return anything you lose if you fall victim to a scam. Your account information's safety is your own responsibility. It is your choice who to trust, and you should face any consequences.

Don't be fooled by greed. Remember - If an offer sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. No matter what they offer you; free VIP, free gralat packs, always be vigilant.

The best staff can do is disable scammers and prevent them from harming other players. We cannot get things back once the damage has already been done. We can't erase your login information from scammers' devices once you hand it over to them yourself.

Why do we need to block&ignore when the scammer already does that to you?
