No. The fact that you named this thread "Homo" just proves how doomed this thread is.

No. People decide their preferences and there is nothing other we can do to control their preferences.

Are you suggestion that the word homo is offensive? Homo means "same" according to the dictionary. There is nothing offensive about it.

If you were to call a homosexual a homo it actually doesn't make sense. Because you're just calling them same. Same as what? Same as you. That's why you have to add the word sexuality because then you are saying same sexuality aka attracted to same sex.

Considering "Homo" was often used as an offensive gay slur can kinda throw people off.

But I do think it's interesting that you think homosexuals decide there preference. Most homosexuals would disagree with you and say they were born that way.. I personally don't have an opinion on it at this time, and that's why I was curious about the science of it and if there was scientific evidence supporting one or the other.

There is no scientific evidence for thinking something and going with it.

If you are a homosexual, then that's just perfectly fine.

But the fact that you have to go one ahead and say there is some mysterious reason to being homosexual then that just puts a frown on my face.

Nothing just happens because it just happens.

What? I didn't say there was or wasn't. I just know that homosexuals will argue that they are born this way and can't change. I respect that you believe they can change. I'm not saying I agree or disagree, I just want to hear the different views.

Also, if what you are saying is true why did Ben Carson a a retired neurosurgeon apologize for saying homosexuality is a choice. You only apologize when you're wrong.

Homosexuality is not a choice, though. You don't just wake up one day and be like "I think I'm going to start liking guys!"

Okay interesting. We have one person that says it is a choice and one person that says it isn't. Can either one of you provide some type of evidence to support your claim?

I don't really understand the point in this thread other than people giving there opinions and people getting mad...There's no scientific evidence that they are born that way yet.I'm in fact gay and I was born this way, but that doesn't mean everyone and there dog have to agree with me.

I don't see anyone getting mad. Also, I'm a bit confused by your post. You say no scientific evidence to say people are born this way but then you say you are born that way.

I've actually seen scientific evidence to support both. Wanted to hear the opinions of people who have also researched this.

Yes I agree. It would be offensive to close it because no one is arguing. And if anyone plans to argue please do not post. This thread is for mature individuals only.

Why does it matter if they are born that way or choose to be? It's nothing more than love.
