The Sparrring code of honor
 

Their is a code of honor in spar, break em and youl be a dishonor.
Tell me if im missing anything, tell me your thaughts on this

1.Cheap moves:repeated walling and spam with the knowledge that you are doing it is cheap.

2.Using hacks: Just dont , just spar normaly

3.Boosting: You need to have no self esteem to do this

4.Using lag/delay as an advantage: If you know your lagging (not the server) then dont spar wait till your wifi is better.

5.Trash talking: Nobody needs this This game is for fun.

6.Killing people while speaking: No let people speak

7. hitting afk people: wait a bit dont rush

8. If someone breaks a rule you can trash talk as you wish

#6 is stupid - if you're in a real life fight and some dude starts talking you kill him, you're there to fight not chat.

There's a difference though, graal is a game. Real life is not.
I understand if they start spilling out sentence after sentence, but if they start typing something it's not cool to hit them.

i wait for the other person unless they are doing it on purpose.

One annoying thing. There's a guy name Running Fart. He runs on purpose to annoy people.
I hate it, it's wasting my time.

biggest pet peeve is people who pause for others when they're at 0.5 just because their streak is high

so if i was typing wait would you wait
If i take too long youl win by default anyway
Maybe i need to look at the time or set a sword

Hes part of galactic runners
they are a guild that runs for spar on purpose
its the requirement to join, they dress wierdly and are fast af, theyve been around for almost a year or more
Fart is only one of em, it pisses me off to have to run to people to kill them.

Pausing for others makes a match boring, in a streak room your supposed to break a streak not help it

My Opinion:

1. If you're that stupid to walk into their sword or lose to that strategy, then you simply need a better technique.
2. Agree. Cheating/hacking shouldn't be taken into consideration.
3. Unsure.
4. There are ways to counter players who have "lag/delay" but if it's at a point where it's impossible to attack, then its bad.
5. Be mature and have good sportsmanship is the way to go.
6. Disagree. Less talking more sparring. It's called a quick spar room for a reason.
7. If you're planning on going afk, why the hell join the queue in the first place? It wastes your opponents time and others who are waiting to spar.

8. Don't be annoyed by any of this and just spar. Because if you do that's weird

What if i was on a streak and i had to do something for example: check the time

Heres number 8 you can trash talk if someone is breaking s rule such as purposly delaying

I hate delayers, some kid was delaying and i asked him if he knew he said ya
i asked him y he was sparring if he was delaying he said he wants to win.

Most of these are outright ridiculous.

This is very similar to what I imagine a "Whiner's Guide to Spar" would look like.

The only 2 that aren't stupid are the one about boosting and the one about hacking. And even boosting isn't a huge problem, they don't get any real respect from it anyway, they can just come all over their screen when they tap themselves and see their ratio.

Checking the time? Really? And agree with Fulgore.

boosters are respected in spar arena, thallen has had a few in his guild(still has one)
but hacking is really petty

-~my professional opinion~-

1. everybody is going to do whatever will help them win the spar. if you can't beat this, play more and adapt.

2. everybody is going to do whatever will help them win the spar. if you can't beat this, don't play against them. it's dumb to queue against a hacker.

3. everybody is going to do whatever will help them improve their ratio. report these losers if you find them, but that most likely won't do anything because graal is dead and no staff care enough to do anything about this.

4. everybody is going to do whatever will help them win the spar. if you can't beat this, play more and adapt. if you still can't beat this, don't play against them. you shouldn't be made fun of for not wanting to spar someone who has a crazy advantage. (yes lag is an advantage, those who lag have way more experience sparring with their lag than those who are sparring against them. if you want to argue with this you're crazy, fall off.)

5. trash talking increases competition by angering the other person, driving them to want to win more. if you are 5 years old and can't handle some loser on the internet talking badly to you, block them or snitch by reporting them to a staff member who won't respond anyways.

6. nobody should ever type in a spar match, you should only be focused on beating your opponent, not talking to them. you can do that after you win/lose. if someone types in a spar match, definitely hit them and it'll shut them up.

7. if you join the queue to spar, you shouldn't go afk, you will be up eventually. just hit the afk person, don't wait for them. there are other people in the queue growing more and more impatient if you inconvenience them by waiting for some dude to come back.

8. all of these rules were really dumb and i don't understand why awful sparrers continue to make threads like this. also, refer to #5.

side note: game is dead. sparring is all irrelevant now anyways.

Don't buy it all those things are apart of the fight. If you speak you are taking a chance you better be good enough to talk an not get hit. Of course you can use lag to your advantage classic is becoming pure lag.trash talking...lol most of the time people sound like jack holes when they try to trash talk.hitting afk people, lol shouldn't have taken the chance while signed up to spar.boosting and hacks are for scrubs. Your definition of cheap moves hahahah how about show the wallers and spammers who's the OG and put them in there place with skill and stop complaint bout how your not good enough to get around some walling moose noob or spam princess.

I don't really care about etiquette or anything but I generally wait for people who are AFK just because they'll automatically lose after 30 seconds, make some exceptions if the people I'm against are douchebags

One thing I try not to do is hit people during freezes though, I always see iDevice players doing it and I hate doing it when I'm on iDevice so I just move away from them or whatever

Do whatever it takes to win as long as you are not hacking or abusing a bug/glitch.

Also, you wouldn't stop fighting in real life because you can talk and fight in real life and in graal you cannot.
Also, in graal you don't have anything against the other person. In real life you probably do.
