So Christmas gifts have finally been release with 2 new twists this holiday season! One being no supers while the other is that there is a secret santa stand. Located right outside of the Graal church... you can spend 10 gralats to randomly put your gift in exchange with another random graalian who also did. This is to prevent much scamming but we are limited to only doing 10 times a day. Anyone have thoughts on the new secret santa system? I personally think that I like this idea, it should be a permanent thing every year.

Yeah, I wish they remove the limit for exchange.

Five limit moved to 10, good call, gralats went down from 100 to 10, thats why im here...
I wasted probably 3-5k just to do secret santa now its 10 gralats? No money back, wow.

But then people will complain so anyway.....good job (i cri every tiem about money loss)

Player Gift-For-Gift verses NPC Gift-For-Gift.

A player can easily scam you by not giving a gift back, whereas an NPC will return a gift anytime.

I think this secret santa was awsome but

im guessing yiu want to encourage people not to g4g
the idea is great and all but On its release it was not encouraging

Pay an extra 100g isnt something people want to do so of course spending 10g is much better

maybe remove 10g to the price and nobody will g4g anymore

Also the limits not really good because people will go back to g4g after they passed the limit

The secret santa thing is a great idea, someone said remove the limit, i can understand because then you can gift4gift only 50-60 depening on how many days, but i have seen many with 100k-1000k gralats and 50 gifts is not alot.

If the limit was removed the majority would be more inclined to just use the Secret Santa then actually gift people.

10 gifts a day from Secret Santa and sharing gifts with your friends is plenty.

Friends usually gift you back (if you are friends) so Secret Santa, essentially, should be pointless.

Either way, there are still people asking for G4G and its pathetic

I see myself in this picture :P Damn back in 2013 anyways it's not that crazy/crowded anymore thanks to secret santa and newer ideas. The people have gotten more worse and desperate about the presents though.

It's a great system. Very well thought-out. People have no excuse for being scammed this year. I'd like to respond to some people's issues with this system that I've seen thus far. (The following aren't actual quotes by anyone, just over exaggerated complaints)

If you really have no one on Graal to gift you, then that's unfortunate. But if you gift whatever friends you do have, I am pretty confident they'll gift you back. Also, SURELY there's at least a couple people you can trust to g4g (never any random person advertising it). If you need an additional 10 gifts a day, then you really don't get the point of the holiday season.

If you can afford a present, you can afford 10 measly gralats. In fact, I'll give you 10 gralats just to shut up about it. Also, I'm pretty sure 10 gralats is better than the 700 gralats you'll lose from getting scammed just once.

lol I remember back last year, that my little cousin scammed a lot of people by changing admin look (red helmet head I think) and send pms to everyone about a event to send presents to him, until he got banned for months. Ever since then he admins change the event pm to yin yang icon, it was funny back then xD
Luckily I didn't get involved because I was banned at that time ^^

What happens if I log off while I'm in the exchange queue? Do I lose my present? I've been waiting for 20 min already (in the queue) and gotta leave soon...and still no present.

I don't think the system failed at all... players are just way too greedy. Yay Christmas.

Consider a scenario in which you give a player a more expensive gift in exchange for a less expensive gift a "loss". Consider when you give a player a less expensive gift in exchange for a more expensive gift a "gain". For every player that gets a "loss", his trading partner will get a "gain". Thus statistically there will be an equal amount of "gains" and "losses" serverwide. From a theoretical standpoint the system is perfect because this equality should trickle down to the players who should have relatively equal amounts of "gains" and "losses". Sure, there's a little bit of chance involved on that end, but the system is sound.

maybe your focus should be more on the spirit of giving and less on what your are receiving. then maybe you won't feel like you or anyone is getting scammed.

What time can we expect to be able to open gifts?
