Hey guys! I wanted to make a thread so people can see what kind of tech other people are using on there PCs and what stuff they should look into when upgrading parts.

My specs are:
CPU: AMD-FX 8320 3.5GHz 8-Core
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600
MOBO: Biostar TA970
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 270 2GB
PSU: Corsair 500CX 500W
OS: Windows 8.1 Professional
HDD: 1TB Western Digital 7200RPM

What do you think? What kind of games do you think this can play. Because I have no idea what the limits are :|

A very mediocre system. It's actually the HP Pavilion a4317c with a replacement PSU and GPU which I switched out in August of this year(2014). The motherboard is actually bottlenecking my GPU currently so I'm losing a bit of performance in it so I hope to replace a few components. I'd like to get a much newer motherboard(I'm not sure which one yet), a new CPU(fx-6300), and more RAM(8 GB DDR3). I plan to replace them all this Christmas if possible and in time, a new(er) GPU.

Stuff is pricey but so worth it in the long run. Unless you don't have a car yet...then you will regret it for as long as you go without one. I know, it happen to me right now D:

There is no such thing as a 5k monitor with a 244 hz refresh rate, or at least there isn't one available to the public. There's no outputs capable of such a high refresh rate at that resolution-currentyl 60 hz is the highest there is.

There is 5k Mac, and 240hz monitors.

Not that much if u would compare it to the i5 gen...but yea,it still gets the job done.
the 3.4GHz keeps my games smooth even at med-high settings(only demanding games)with 1366x768 resolution.while not that demanding games such as theif can be played at high with no AA

Depends on what you use it for. They had duo cores at 4ghz and even those showed their age a few years ago.
