So let's talk about the new mounts
 

As many of you know by now, two additional 2-person mounts were added to the stables in York Town today. One new, one old.

I, personally, always wanted one of the old armoured 2p mounts. So I was very happy to see the Rhino come back, and at only 40k! What a treat.

The lion is pretty awesome itself (especially the winged version), though it carries a hefty price tag of 100k (105k for the winged version, and no, it doesn't fly). Sure looks a lot better than my 1-person lion mount from the Safari Nexus years back.

Anyway, discuss.

wat? 100k for that? I thought the armored panda and rhino were only 100k because they were higher-end graphics work. The last few not so pretty 2p's were 50k or 75k werent they? idk i may be crazy.

I recall this time last year I purchased the wombat.
Good ol' wombat is fast and does the job...
But a couple weeks later they released a limited time giant spider 2-p mount at club crypt for 70k, 5k less than the regular wombat I had gotten.

Needless to say I was choked.

The lion mount was better a 1-player mount...

I would highly suggest not purchasing any of these mounts if you already have a panda or any other kind of 2p mount, mainly because you really don't need more than one 2p mount. If, however, you still plan to buy one, I suggest the one without wings, because the one with wings doesn't even fly over water (that I know of) so that kinda stinks.

And unless you buy five gralat packs a day, I suggest not purchasing these mounts until after Halloween, because that way you'll have money for Halloween. The main reason this mounts were released right now is because they want you to buy gralat packs to buy a lion, and then they want you to buy more gralat packs for Halloween.

Yeah same, I bought wombat and they released the giant spider mount in Club crypt, but I heard giant spider has slower average speed.

What if they update the wing one so that it can fly over water. That changes the story.

It's great. I've always wanted a lion with small wings that cannot fly.

To be honest, I thought there'd be at least a few people upset about the armoured rhino being resold for 40k. Wasn't the original price somewhere around 100k? I suppose not a lot of people bought the original armoured 2p mounts (given the high price tags), but had I purchased the original, I'd be a little ticked off to see it being resold at such a low price.

I was so pissed off when I had just spent all my gralats and the tarantula mount was released for 70. It looked amazing.

I like mounts and all but whenever somethings over 50k im not buying it, the lion mount wont be even fly what a waste of gralats

I don't like the new lion mount, nor the alligator. I prefer mounts with armor. I would recommend waiting until Black Friday for the 50% black armored panda mount, which is 50,000 gralats if you don't know the price. I prefer this, because I farm for gralats, instead of buying packs. 2P mounts use 5 fire breaths.

Does anyone know if the rhino has a slower speed than a panda? Or are they all the same speed?

In my opinion, worst looking 2-p mounts. Should cost the least just because they're ugly.

The lion mount is cool but I think its time they release a flying 2p mount
or more armored mounts that arent too over priced

This may or not have been said already (sorry if it has) but there are several other mounts that could use this ability, such as the gryphon (winged eagle/lion) VIP mount that is about two years old. I understand mounts that are years old have very little priority and that there are other reasons but it would just make a lot of sense if people got the lion mount changed...

retro fitting with the old mounts seems unlikely :( and, yeah, it has come up before.
