Hey guys!

Microsoft just recently unveiled the technical preview of Windows 10 (I know, they skipped nine. Those bastards!). It looks much better than Windows 8 in my opinion, especially since they removed that ugly metro tablet interface. Here's a few things I like about it!

• The addition to the Windows start menu again.
• Ability to scale metro applications
• Easy access to applications (like Windows 7)
• Support for multiple desktops (like Linux!)

Those are some of the awesome things in Windows 10 that I noticed straight off the bat. I'll be sure to keep updating with things I like and dislike about the OS.

Hmm, I wonder if they will still be releasing 8.2 or not?

The reason why they're releasing 10 before 9 is due to the fact they know it's going to suck. If they made 9 bad it wouldn't fit their pattern.

Actually, the real reason they're using 10 instead of 9 is because the microsoft devs were lazy in the making of windows 98 and used Windows 9 as the code name in the software instead.

It sure looks a hell of a lot better than my first thoughts of Windows 8's preview. It actually doesn't look that bad.

They called it Windows 10 because it is "many steps higher" to be Windows 9 and because only 17% of the PCs have Windows 8. Anyway the Windows 7+8 menu sounds laggy. Not sure why I have that feeling

Apparently they're calling it 10 because it's going to be the final major Windows version release... or at least that's what I read in some article.

Microsoft screws up every other OS anyway, so this looks solid.

Windows 7 - Great
Windows 8 - Sucked

Opinions, this is how mine looks.

Windows XP was the greatest OS in history.

People who upgraded from non-NT to WinXP would disagree. Tons of driver issues.

In my opinion Windows 8 was not as superior as Windows 7. More people enjoyed the "easy browsing" part of the Classic Windows XP setup. Windows 8 Gaming had a few bugs, but offered the nice Extra features including touchscreen and some mobile devices running on that OS. Windows 8 I think was not as successful due to gaming bugs, and a lot of the games I enjoyed were not compatible. Windows 7 was a bigger hit, but Windows 8 will probably have more updates in the future. Windows 10... I'm not sure but I'm going to upgrade just to experiment. Thanks Guys for informing me ;)

I've installed the developer preview and it's looking pretty good. I'm not a fan of the way the start menu looks though - looks a little ugly.

People still use AOL. The chatrooms are still up.

As long as it isn't as much of a horror to program on like Gabe Newell says Windows 8 was then everything should be a-ok.

Windows XP was one of the greatest OS out there. It was easy to use and not complicated.

The Technical Preview seems pretty good. I like how they are focusing more on desktop users without a touch screen on this release. Seems more like Windows 8.2 than Windows 10, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Microsoft's switch to rectangles for Windows 8 was a horrific start to a new Windows age. I really hate how everything's going to be blocky now.

Installed the technical preview. Impressions:

-You do not know true pain until you try to use the metro version of Skype

I've always hated the Metro Skype. It's really ugly. I just downloaded the desktop version.

Microsoft should give an option to change the view style, and show a list of templates to choose from.

I like how the metro Skype notifies you in the top right corner, but I hate everything else about it. I wish there was a way to combine the two.
