The most exciting thing about the recent posts, was that Unixmad actually said something about Graal.

Sounds interesting as it could see mobile players being able to use them although I don't know whether it would really work with graalians and era-go being so popular.

I don't think you're going to find someone who can make a better scripted RC than the one Skyld made(that is currently in use). The issue isn't the quality of the scripts, but the quality(or lack of) of the Graal's GUIs. You're never going to get the same precision and response that you do with the hard-coded tools because the scripted tools tick at 20fps. This makes it seem clunkly and slow. Also, external windows are still as buggy and unintuitive as they were when they launched. Sometimes I make a tool in a gui and I think "hmm, this would be useful as an external window!" and I change it to an external window and realize how broken they are... and it goes right back to being an internal gui. Not to mention external gui's are not treated as individual items and that makes it incredibly annoying to multitask with them. For instance, if Graal is minimized, none of the external windows can be pulled up. If they're not treated like individual windows, then it defeats the purpose of having external guis.

Working on the scripted RC is just a silly idea to me, but the other 2 points were welcome news.

All the devs I know dislike the scripted RC, and some servers have rules against its use.
I understand improving it would prolly eliminate the problems associated with it, but it just seems unnecessary to me when I would still prefer the RC as its own application.

Oh well, it sounds like it'll just be done by volunteer work anyways, so wasted resources or budgetary concerns for the company aren't an issue...

So what I'm understanding here is that there will be an actual client with a login server for iOS and everything? What will happen to the existing apps? Will they simply be ditched in favor of the iPW client I'm assuming is being announced here?

And if we get iPlayerworlds... Ooh, that is exciting :o

seems like the updates are meant to improve the players options in regards to making graal money. Interesting :D

i was going to say the increase in bans would skyrocket, but all the ass kissers in er-go and delteria net have been prepared very well for pc forum life. sensative old fools and young people are not a good match.

Allowing staff access to develop for non-PC servers is definitely a good thing, but every time he has announced something in the past it has fallen through so... yeah

Can't wait to see how much of this stuff ends up being left on the back burner, just as tons of other crap they've "announced". Heh.

When he saids playerworlds does he mean all playerworlds or a select few, will this mean better mobile platform support for dev servers? one server can house multiple playerworlds. Also where is this thread on the main forums?

I dont think they"re gonna ditch the current apps. Too much work to fix something that doesnt need fixing. Maybe they will block the playerworlds from logging on the servers who knows. It would be annouced on the offical forums not here
