does anyone ever play it? I know there is like one guy named titan who's on every day but that's it, its a fun server but i never see anyone on xc

It used to be really popular then eventually died out. I played it a bit awhile ago.

think about this: adventure.

GraalOnline Classic is merely a shell, looking like Graal The Adventure, but that's about it. You were on an adventure to find new weapons, explore, level up your health and swords and find secrets. And there were no hats.

We used to poke fun of Unholy Nation because they put so much focus on hats...

No we didn't, and G2k1 revolved around its hat economy.

I don't really have any positive experience with questing on Graal... besides the social aspect of it(ie being a noob and having someone else help you), and even then I just remember lots and lots of bugs. Even if quests were added, pulling off the only redeeming quality(multiplayer) in quests is very, very difficult. Especially now where the sudden surge of players causes the server to melt.

That's where the whole concept of throttling comes in handy.

I don't mean we as in the general community.

I never played g2k1, I was only playing classic/gta.

The sense of accomplishment when finally getting another fullheart or upgrading your sword so you could properly PK was fun.

All the OP weapons and stuff was also fun. The whole feel of the game being a big playground was what made it fun.

Ya, but I don't see that sort of thing working in the environment that is iClassic. Players managed to wreak quite a bit of havoc even now with just swords and bombs... I can't imagine giving them things like Flame Spiral or any of the other insane OP items Classic used to have.

What did old Classic have (besides quests) that made it so much better than Classic today?

It had scale and more depth but that doesn't mean much if you're sitting outside Burger Refuge with your mates all day. One thing Classic had was some of the best events, but I've never really been one to include events as actual server content.

Areas meant something too. They had a purpose for either a quest, a side quest or secrets.

iClassic had the levels and then had to develop a purpose for it afterwards.

The castle being a guild fort on iClassic is kinda sad. :/

Pretty sure Thor got himself a global ban.

He was banned from the forums (for expressing his opinion and wanting answers), not the entire game.

I think he only got a temporary ban for adding an ostrich with a head up his ass and calling it stefan.

Though he did do more than that. I believe I heard Thor did some things in harsh opposition of iPhone Graal.

there was more to the story, but whoever is Pro-ownership will favor ownership's side of the story and whoever is Pro-thor will favor thor's side of the story

He got to that point after not getting any answers. Totally unnecessary though. But I get Thor's frustration.

I thought it was fun until you finished a few of the quests, of course when I played it wasn't necessarily its glory days. I'd join you mangsi but Slim got me banned there :angry:

The quests are fun, I'm stuck on one lmao, but its also fun to just go around and mess with things cx

i think thats as far as thor was able to go. GC studios is the only thing left, but you need people and someone with hosting abilities(i think)

The images you posted seem like something Family Guy would mention about the Fox Network, although in contrast, Family Guy makes Fox a lot of money.

The video I watched that showed where Graal the Adventure eventually ended up is pretty good in terms of quest content. It certainly seems as though did a reasonably good job building on top of what I had put into Classic following the NPC server debacle with the resources that were available to him.

I don't know his age, but I once pissed off Stefan when I was a teenager. Because of it, I didn't receive a free Graal T-shirt for winning at the Graalympics.

I don't think (I may be mistaken) anything besides levels from Thor's classic was really built on the foundations from the previous management teams.

So do I... I have lashed out against Darlene on the forums many times and have my fair share of bannings on the OGCC.

However, it's kind of like biting the hand that feeds you in the case of Thor. Thor would have to go through Stefan and Unix to get his server off the ground since it's Classic... the original server and pretty much the namesake of Graal. Attacking those two personally was only going to end poorly for Thor... it wasn't only pointless, but detrimental to his cause.

If there were any two people who you shouldn't attack while trying to revive a server... it's the two people who actually "own" that server. Especially if you're trying to do it for some sort of cause.

Yeah, it was the wrong way to deal with it. But working on something for ages and then not getting any answers to legitimate questions... :/
