Battlefield Hardline
So there was a leak for the new battlefield game called hardline. Hardline is a cops vs robbers game that will be heavy infantry and urban warfare + no tanks and jets. Heres a video, it is also being made for all 5 consoles (yech)
Just saw this on battlelog and I'm excited! but also curious to see how it turns out. I'm not very interested in buying it yet but ill wait till E3
also theres this 7 minute video |
what the hell is that a jet i see in a police game? lol wut.
Also be weary of the Hype train for this game. Whatever you do DO NOT PRE ORDER. |
not sure how I feel, but regardless I won't be pre-ordering.
I hear there wont be jets or tanks in this game but there will be helicopters
theres jets, pause at 17 seconds. Or go to 6:03, he says planes.
i still cannot stop laughing as a robbery is being done you look up and see a dogfight going on. I would expect that in a military shooter, not a cops n robbers one. |
Got the beta today! :D
I think it's a lot of fun, and I play a lot of BF4. I love the "tallness" of the maps and how you can zip-line around. I think it's really innovative. Also the destruction of the buildings is still one of the best parts.
Pretty cool.
Port 3569 bug is still on HArdline
It's not a leak lol, Battlefield released it. I have already signed up for the beta.

I've been able to play a bit, half the time when I wanna play I get the Port 3659 bug, but the other times its been okay. The vehicles are fun to drive, I am still trying to get used to it
Beta any fun? I havent gotten the chance to play it. From the gameplay though it looks annoying as balls as everyone will be spraying **** emblems, self revive, roadkills, rooftop campers, and being spotted on the minimap 24/7 from interigations.
This looks like its gonna be my fav battlefield ever.

Started playing it for a while, it's pretty fast paced if you get near the objective, but otherwise it's just empty.

i can not stand for assholes that b-line the objective with a vehicle when it could be helping the team, and it goes to the enemy team. edit: link for vid here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kdrb...D2991C3D415547 |

the issue i have with that video is its on the hate battlefield ********** train. I played hardline, its a lot like bf4 as of now, but holy crap people, theres still 5 months until the game is released. We haven't seen 90% of the features that this game has too offer. when this game is released, then we can judge if its like bf4. Until then, no.
but it's exactly what it actually is
a mod. |
Its as of now in open beta its a mod of bf4. But once the game gets launched, its not going to be a mod. Have you even played the beta? Theres going to be way more features, different gameplay experience than bf4 in the beta alone since now in choppers you have to worry about all infantry shooting at you because the bfbc2 vietnam paper helis are back along with the cars not being bullet proof. No need to worry about MAA and ARMs, ziplines are neat for transportation, car driving is so so so much better, and in all, its just going to be an infantry focused battlefield like the bad company series was.
bad company wasn't infantry focused at all lmao
Bad company 2 rush was. I found it more infantry based than vehicle based
One mode does not make the game infantry based. That's stupid logic.
Well, if it was a mod, I wouldn't be able to play it because I play on console, so I don't really care. I'm also an infantry player, so a whole game more aimed at infantry gameplay is right up my alley.
I'm assuming it'll have a lot of those little tweeks that made BF4 an improvement over BF3 imo, but I'll really have to see some more. So far I've picked up on the different hit markers, grabbing ammo off of supports and health from medics unlike in BF4 where you had to pester them for it, less suppression, WAY better vehicle collision physics and netcode which is a major improvement, and some other stuff that I can't remember off the top of my head. There are some things that I don't like, however. Literally all the attachments are copy-pasted over from BF4. Like, wtf. BF4 was a step in the right direction, but flesh out the attachments more. More grips, I dunno, and make the heavy barrel or it's equivalent more useful. I'd really like if they made the magnifier more like the COD one where it's super easy and fast to flip up and it doesn't take you out of ADS when you want to put it on. It'll make the attachments way more useful and a real option. I don't like how the kits were copy pasted with different names from BF4. Mix it up please Visceral. Nor do I like how similar the character models look. In BF4 and 3 I can easily distinguish the classes from each other just from a glance. The self revive tool is ******ed. I have no idea why they ever thought that that would be a good idea. If I'm impressed with it more towards release I will get it, but I'm not going to pre-order. |

I have never played a battlefield that was infantry focused. But those are the only I have played- I do agree BFBC2 was definitely not infantry based though lol. And I would like to add Battlefield has never completely satisfied me with attachments. BF4 WAS a step in the right direction and I was really happy at first, but they don't understand how it all blends in and does the same thing in the end. All 3.4X - 4X scopes= same things All 1X sigts= same things (except thermal) Most grips were the same (only 3 variations and imo could differentiate more than they did...) Reskins and combinations of the same things like flash light and tactical light, red dot, green laser sight, triple laser sight.. light/laser combination) Most people used a heavy barrel or suppressor most of the other stuff were mostly trash or reskins. I could go on and on... What I did like was stuff like the hunter scope, range finder, Canted iron sights, magnifier, different grenades, ect I want to see stuff that would keep me more entertained in the long run. Randomly listing ideas battlefield could do for attachments that would be fun: Bipod: Allows frontal melee kills without enemy blocking, fast melees, longer reach. Different ammo: I am not the weapons expert, but in real life there are many different types of ammo guns can load- some that are meant to penetrate walls (at the cost of not lodging into enemies like standard bullets) some that combust, some that fly farther, ect. Similar to what they do with shotguns. Different magazines: Would be cool to choose if I want to run certain LMGs with a 40 round long clip or with a 100 round belt fed box. Different stocks: There could be like wooden rifle stocks which give better accuracy, and then there could be hollow/collapsable stocks that can be collapsed and provide better stability and mobility at the cost of accuracy. They could add benefits to iron sights such as glass sights are prone to gathering cracks when hit by explosions. Different barrel lengths (say, short barrel would give good hip fire and stability, while long barrel would give good accuracy and range.) |

bump. BFHL Beta just got announce. It's starting on the 3rd (Tuesday) and will run five days. The beta is available on PC, last gen, and current gen consoles (excluding nintendo consoles).
oh boy a beta on 360 lol
I've been telling myself to not buy this game, but this video has given me interest in the game for the first time ever. Still getting GTA on PC tho :p |
Currently downloading the beta~
Stuck at 33% on PS4. Oh wait 34% well that took around 20 mins for an extra percent...
Its meh. I don't ever really FEEL like I'm robbing/protecting a bank as cops/robbers, which kind of defeats the whole theme and purpose of this game to me. Just your everyday generic shooter.
There's no reason for this game to be $60, BF4 is better. |
Almost finished downloading it, lets see how it goes
Really enjoying it. I like the more infantry-based combat. Hotwire is so damn fun and pretty much the only mode I really enjoy. Heist is pretty cool too. Dust Bowl is honestly one of my fav maps of the BF series. I also like the currency system. Tbh in my opinion I find Hardline better than BH4. To me it just feels more exciting. Gonna be playing beta all week. Can't wait till the full release.
Been almost an hour and i've only gone from 25%-29% on the secound title screen loading, never had an 11gb beta with additional downloads after the games finished downloading.
I'm pretty keen for it mainly because I like battlefield and because some of my favourite guns that I was holding out for in the bf4 dlcs are in the game like the sa58 osw. I just hope they redo the spot system because I hate it so god damn much, no possible way of playing stealthy when you can run around the map and spam spot whilst aiming and shooting or just whilst you're running around and reveal a quarter of the team. An ideal spot system for me would be spotting system working as it currently does, but everytime you spot someone, you also reveal yourself on the minimap, so it's more for teammates to take them out and not spot them, and run around a corner and wait for the orange dorito to come near you and jump out prefiring (it also makes sense since your character shouts that they've spotted a target everytime you press it) |
Spot is the same as it has been, as far as I can tell.
This game is not all that fun as I thought it would be. I am not robbing any bank, it just feels like capture the flag grab it, and take it to a point. The maps are soo small for this. The mode where you have to race around in cars to capture points (take away tickets) is really dumb, no fun at all and the same as the last comment maps are soo small for this size and scale of a game mode. I would rather play on dust bowl becuase it feels so much like battlefield 4, but only if the guns actually do ****. The starting weapons are horrible and feels sloppy when aiming.
I'm having a great time. It may be a honey moon phase, but right now hardline is exactly want I want in my shooters. BF gun mechanics minus all the gay **** and more infantry oriented maps. I mainly played TDM in BF4 anyway so this is right up my alley.
It has improved slightly since the last beta, the Load out menu is still horrible though.
I found the gameplay different to bf4. There feels like there is so much aim assists, I find that i'm fighting against the autoaim when i'm trying to track a target. Also a lot of the guns are op, sniper rifles one shotting from 20 meters away, which basically let me quickscope 5 guys in a row, g17 c killing faster than assault rifles, m16a3 and m416 being more op versions of what they were in bf3 and cars killing you from touching the side of you when it has almost no speed.
I personally don't like the hotwire gamemode, the games finish to quickly and idk I preferred hiest. The grappling hook and zipwire pickups around the map I really like, I had one instance where I was using the shotgun and there were 2 snipers across the road trying to snipe me so I ran into the building, went upstairs and got the zipeline, and went across the road on it and killed them both The money system seems interesting but the menu GUI sucks and it takes ages to choose my loadout and switch class. So much faster in bf4 The gun models look cooler than bf4 and I like how you actually see the rail attachments like lasers and flashlights since in bf4 they always put them on the right side of your gun so you couldnt see it unless you sprinted. But I dont like how your character holds the gun when you havent fired for a littlebit, where it's on an angle, especially with sniperrifles where the scope covers the entire gun and you can't even see it unless you shoot |
