Ok, I can't be the only one to play this game on here.. it released a few days ago on the 7th. It's a really sweet JRPG made by Square Enix for 3DS. I'm looking for some friends to link my party up with so yea.

bravely default has nothing to do with the story. Bravely default is the name of the game because of the unique turn-based combat system :/

Still makes no sense.

I have it but I'm saving it for a few weeks. Excited to play it though!

Watch a review if it makes no sense, hard to explain the brave default system, it's just a lot less repetitive and more user friendly than the typical FF turn-based system

It's a Final Fantasy Game.

It's has a system called Brave Default.

You use default, which is a block system. It gives a you a point, then if you attack you'll lose the point, but you won't be in the negatives where your character must recover.
It's confusing on text, but it's a great RPG that should be bought.

Far better then most things Square has been doing.

The game is incredibly addicting and I'm getting close to finishing it. I'll have to add you when I get home, I could always use more villagers!

Might get it after Monster Hunter Ultimate.

Y'know, this will probably be re-released in a few years as a Best Seller/Player's Choice version.

Almost everything is better than what Square has been doing for the past decade.
Not to mention, a rom.

Gotta say, it does look fun. But I have no clue how long it'll be before I get the chance to play it.

Might just be because I really like the art style of Akihiko Yoshida though. (The same guy that did designs for FF Tactics and Vagrant Story.)

Looking for a good game for the 3ds since I beat Pokemon. Going to target during my two hours that I don't have class to buy this.

I was watching one of my favorite FF7 speedrunners streaming today and he mentioned this, had never heard of it. His theory was that the Final Fantasy series was turning in a strange direction and Square pitched this game out there, outside of the Final Fantasy brand, to see if gamers can appreciate that style of combat. Maybe games further down the line in the FF series will turn towards this.

The combat system in this game would be a nice breath of fresh air in the Final Fantasy series. Actually, I hope they do a 3ds sequel to this game at some point.

Yea plus the job system is really cool. Starts off with standard FF jobs, then goes into unique jobs to the game like vampire. You also get an airship VERY early on.
