rank 4 on the US server and trying to get to Legend but it resets soon I'm pretty sure
Arena is way more fun than Constructed to me anyway, it's less pay-to-winny

really into this game lately

I downloaded Hearthstone but have yet to play it at all. Perhaps I'll give it a shot soon. Let's trade friendships so you can own me?

(I also have a 10 day guest pass to the new MMO 'Wildstar' so I'm going to be checking that out soon also.)

I'll be honest, I only played through the tutorial to get another mount on WoW! I am really bad at these deckbuilding games. Can you trade cards? I'd give away some of mine if it were possible.

What mount did it give you on WoW? My account is frozen and I don't really plan to go back (until maybe Warlords to give it a try as it'll have all those nicely updated models and could maybe feel pretty fresh)

Hearthstone would be more fun if it wasn't pay to win.

Blizzard is a money hungry company, and Hearthstone is a Pay2Win game.

You pay for packs?? :0 I just do Arena Runs and dailies lol

TCG are pay to win in general. Hearthstone compared to most popular TCG is a lot cheaper.

HS is not pay-to-win. It's play to get cards, pay to get em faster, but it makes no difference when you're doing arena runs.

Even in constructed, it's not like stacking your deck with a ton of legendary cards is gonna make you win either.

Well if you want a specific strat then you need the cards, luckily my deck (murloc of course) is complete thanks to arena runs.

Don't play Ranked if you aren't going to pay. People try to use examples like, "Trump got to Legend without paying a dime so that proves that this game isn't pay-to-win!"

I find that to be just a senseless and stupid representation. "Because someone did something, that proves it's possible." Yeah, clearly, but enjoy your 0.01% chance of it happening.

People polarize too much, as if "pay-to-win" means that if you pay then you will be the best, and if you don't then you won't be the best. No, if you pay you will have a huge advantage over others, and if you don't then you won't. Only an idiot would try to argue that it's fair when you queue up for ranked and you're against a Mage running 2 Malygos and 2 Antonidas (because they spent $200 on packs).

Just do what I do and either play Casual, or don't take Ranked seriously and play it for the 500-games achievement per hero. Use those play modes to farm for gold through your quests, then do Arena runs. Arena is way more fun.

Anyone worked through the first week? I'm having trouble with these bosses lol, some of their cards are crazy (2/8 taunt for a 3 - what?) but as with most of them, i'm in love with the voices, they're perfect. Thoughts/Strats to defeat them anyone?

completed them all, took me a lot of tries. eventually had to look up decks that other people used.

Was kind of misleading at first when they stated "Win 3 matches!" or whatever it was. The tutorial didn't count :(
Ah well, I still ended up getting my mount after a week or so (Yeah.. I'm that bad at card games)

Hearthstone is pretty fun. I'd say all of the heroes are well balanced, but I'm a noob.

Personally prefer the Mage.
But in WoW, I prefer priest or druid :smile:

start playing Warlock now, because the Hero Power literally scales and improves as more cards are added to Hearthstone
eventually, it will be nerfed and it'll cost 3 health to tap

plus that Nerubian Egg bull**** is so OP in Zoo decks now

2 health for a card is hardly worth it. Why pay both health and mana crystals to draw 1 card? There's cards out there that will draw 3 cards for 3 mana crystals, and there's minions that have a battlecry that allows them to draw a card. There's so many ways to draw cards, and IMO spending both 2 mana crystals and 2 health is usually not worth it except in a few scenarios.

I feel like the other hero powers are better. Then again, I'm new.

if youre able to space it out and hold your own till endgame chances are you will win, can play 2 molten giants, doa to taunt them and even jaraxxus to boost your health back up to 15 for a sure thing

Also another questions. How to make a good deck? From what you guys have been talking about you can 'theme' decks like zoo or something. Any good websites for guides on making decks? Because all im doing at the moment to create decks is the 'suggest a card' button

For better situations/options. If there's enemy minion with taunt and I lack proper cards in my hand to answer effectively, I might hero power and draw a Shadow Bolt to dispose of it before playing a Doomguard to face and let the opponent deal with that next turn, providing I feel confident in my knowledge of what the enemy might have to answer. That would be a solid 10 mana play late game, providing useful cards are few and far between for my opponent at this point.

On top of that, hero power to Mortal Coil/Soulfire is great. Siphon Soul is another one of my favorites but I only have one :(

Is there any way to get a replay of a match? I just got beat in the funniest way. Got the enemy rogue to 1 hp, then she summoners these 2 cards that gain damage each turn a spell is casted, and they got up to 15 attack by spamming spells.

I thought she was bad since all she did was use her hero ability and never placed anything, but I got wrecked.

They split the regions so someone from Europe can't actually play with someone from NA readily. So stupid.

Why would delay even be a problem?

It may have something to do with usernames, not sure though.

The regions are split via Blizzard's server locations I believe, running the same system as its other games. I don't play the other Blizzard games, but I know they are popular enough to require separation.

Yep, it's just kind of annoying with a game like HS. I really wanna show you guys how totally high skill I am.

I think they split the regions just for ease in the competitive community, like I think it'd be pretty hard to arrange competitive events that use the ladder as part of the qualifier if they had to use a global ladder and then pick out which players are located in specific regions, etc.

However, I find it stupid that you can't transfer your gold/dust/cards from region to region, essentially giving you a "global account" without a global ladder ranking. That's just annoying and stupid.

My video card is slowly dying so I guess I'll be pulling away from PoE and League and playing this more.

I'm bad at this game so I'm just trying to get rank 20 each season for the card back.
