Copyright infringement
 

Well recently my head was refunded for copy wright infringement, and it was declined to be uploaded. Here it is, do you think this breaks the rules?

Try uploading it at a different time. Each uploader is different and some of them can be real beeaches.

and whatever reason it was deleted i skipped by when going through guild spam (they message you).
I always wonder about that... did they think it was a sxe toy? Or somthing dirty........ i dont see how it is copyright at all because i never claimed it was this kendama.. it was too simple to void copyright.

True, i made the jps head yellow so it looked like scorpion and it got deleted from my profile after it got uploaded. Didnt even think about that before i posted

I wish the up loaders were consistent, and not always overruling each other..

I wish they followed one specific guideline rather than their own criteria.

I wish they had admins whose purpose was solely to explain what needed to be done to fix the issue with your upload... customer service gp... drives me up the wall trying to get stuff approved...

Not to mention having my frikkin body that i had been wearing since october deleted on christmas day... i mean wtf... grinches.

Can you explain where the headis generally from?

What is it even supposed to look like? Just some random head or is it based on something? I think they should start putting applications out for an "Uploading Service" job or something that will make the uploads come quicker, and make people happier stead of spam the feedback. :P

I like how there are like 43 different kinds of LOZ shields and stuff in the game but the moment I try to upload a gif/pic as a shield from another game I get denied in no time for Copy right issues.

How is it I can have a fairy from LOZ Link to the past floating around all day but The moment I want to upload a gif'd Metroid from Super Metroid as a shield I get freakin denied? How is it stuff from one game is allowed when something from another is not?

Most of the crap on the server could be classified as infringements of copyright laws.

There is a set of upload rules. That is there criteria.

Maybe if classic staff wasn't full of a bunch of 12 year old staff members that don't know what a copyright is, there would be less heads declined..

I understand why the staff member thought it was copyright but I don't think you can copyright an look. That's like saying you can't have a buzz cut because the military copyrighted it. This shouldn't have been a copyright infringement.

Respect copyrights and only upload graphics that you have made yourself or that you are authorized to use. Any concepts that are taken from television shows, video games or any other forms of media will not be accepted. Works that are inspired by such material are only accepted under some circumstances. It is therefore encouraged that you design original ideas for your graphics to avoid any issues that may arise.

Do you see why theres silly problems like this. This gives uploaders the power to have the final say even if they're wrong.



I had the same problem with the orange guy admin. I sent my body like 15 times because i knew i was allowed to upload it and he kept deleting it because he had personal issues with me. Then when i made fun of him for giving me 8 final warnings he deleted my status and had someone implement a rule that allows classic to take your uploading privileges.

I still dont see how zelda stuff is allowed when i know nintendo has the copy rights to it. Yet other video game items get denied.

I think it wouldn't hurt to re-examine the upload rules and make some better defined guidelines and then as part of that go and delete and ban certain types of customs that are currently allowed that wouldn't fit those guidelines.

Shields for example: I'm not saying its everyone,but a whole lot of the time I don't see people using anything remotely looking like a shield rather some sort of item to enhance their look. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that. I just don't think certain things should be allowed as shield codes. Like the countless shield codes that serve as some type of advertisement for players "mazes" or "code shops" why do they allow those but any time I try to message some one and have anything in my message close to .com I get a warning for No Advertising? They can have stuff trying to attract people to their house to scam them into farming for them but I cant tell a friend about a website? why????

Seriously? I think the answer is pretty obvious. This game is rated suitable for kids, however people online spamming pornography websites and other X rated stuff would sort of not work with the age rating real well.

That's pretty ironic; it's obvious Metroid would be less of a deal then Zelda.

Look at ****ing MineCraft. If they were sued for everything user created using copyrighted works, the game would be gone.

I dont see how that is copyright, but i think some members of staff just reject anything if it looks like some character they've ever seen. When i was on uploads i was once told off for accepting some heads and bodies, apparently they looked like something from some anime, just because of similar hair or face details. Stupid really.

I think the upload system could also do with space for the uploader to put extra comments. Currently when rejecting a head theres just 5 or 6 general statements to choose from so you cant actually tell the player whats wrong with it half the time.

Same with Era. When I was staff I would have appreciated to explain myself a bit more when rejecting an upload.
